Product Officer – Retail Assets

Division:    Retail Banking
Department/Unit:    Retail Assets
Job Grade:    Executive Trainee – Assistant Manager

Job Objectives:

To originate and consummate retail asset finance transactions to both individuals and corporate bodies.
Identify eligible candidates for these products and monitor the performance of such facilities to secure the banks risk assets.  

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Implement marketing strategies for retail asset finance (RAF) business.
  • Analyse the environment with a view to segmenting customer base, in order to provide targeted value proposition to ensure optimal gains for all parties.
  • Monitor performance of RAF products periodically in line with business performance frame works.
  • Develop and manage new RAF products and service plans, business plans and budgets.
  • Review and recommend on RAF related charges periodically to maintain profitability while ensuring competitiveness.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with key internal customers.
  • Keep up to date with all regulations governing the retail assets industry that affect the RAF business to ensure compliance.
Job Requirements    
Educational:

University degree in a business related discipline
Preferably with a post graduate degree

Experience:
  • A sound understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within the banking industry preferably product management
  • Experience in the development of tactical product plans
  • Experience in product design and development
  • Experience in product marketing
  • An understanding of lending and risk principles and behaviours would be beneficial

Product Development Officer

Job Grade:    Executive Trainee – Assistant Manager

Job Objectives:
  • To successfully take a product from concept to commercialization.
  • To institute and manage a structured process for new product development and roll-out within the retail banking segment.
  • Responsible for identifying variances across existing products, thereby ensuring alignment with customer needs, customer value propositions and product performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Identify market segments and develop value propositions for these distinct groups.
  • Monitor and manage liability products sales and marketing campaigns as and when they come up.
  • Conduct continuous analysis of sales performance and proffer ways to improve where necessary.
  • Implement a pricing methodology and parameters for customer and product segments.
  • Identify new product opportunities and participate in the implementation.
  • Identify and build relationships with strategic alliances to fast-track the achievement of the bank’s personal segments and product strategies at optimal costs and efficiency levels.
  • Take ownership of all segments (customer and product) and ensure successful completion within the planned time lines and enable and manage all stakeholders on which projects are dependent.
  • Routinely scan the market to ensure awareness of competitor and market activities around segments and products and develop appropriate responses as when required.
  • Train respective banking segments and product support prior to launch on any product.
  • Ensure effective tracking, monitoring and dissemination of sales information in timely and accurate manner.
  • Research and analyse the marketing environment to identify liability products gaps.

Job Objectives:

Responsible for planning and development of new/current areas of products and services touch points.

Accountable for generating revenue from these channels by coordinating with cross functional teams to execute go-to-market strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage optimal retail channels framework (capacity, quality, reach) and structure retail channels for online product and services etc.  
  • Identify new markets and opportunities, develop programs & campaigns to increase retail cards sales and channels capacity to sustain growth targets
  • Support programs/initiatives for cards and channels sales readiness and capabilities
  • Implement sales and business development strategies to grow card volumes and help channel partners achieve their targets
  • Manage partner relationship with global card brands.
  • Performance monitoring of all channel uptime and product functionality
  • Execution of periodic marketing campaigns and product (cards and channels) promotions in strategically critical regions/ renowned and or emerging retail markets with a view to boosting the image of Keystone Bank on all channel platforms

West Kenya Sugar Company seeks to recruit a Transport Manager.

Reporting to the General Manager the selected candidate will oversee the transport function at West Kenya Sugar Company. 
The main purpose of the job will be development and implementation of Transport strategy that is focused on assisting the Company meet its daily cane delivery targets while ensuring efficiency in transport operations and safety in the entire transport activity. 
Duties and responsibilities include:
  • Managing, the execution, direction and coordination of all transportation matters within the company, including managing budgets, organizing schedules and routes, ensuring that the fleet is safe and meets legal requirements and that drivers are fully aware of their duties, responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Ensuring that fresh sugarcane is delivered to the factory as required, without fail while observing road safety, safety of other road users and in a cost effective way that maximizes the fleet’s capability.
  • Ensuring that the company fleet is compliant with the traffic rules and regulations.
  • Developing transportation relationships, negotiating and bargaining transportation prices, contracting outsourced transporters and ensuring that they operate safe vehicles and comply with traffic rules and regulations.
  • Ensuring that outsourced transporters deliver within agreed terms.
  • Monitoring and evaluating transport costs and advising management on strategies to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the company fleet and reduce costs.
  • Allocating and recording resources and movements on the transport planning and monitoring system.
  • Communicating effectively with user departments, and responding to their requirements.
  • Confronting climate change issues by implementing transport strategies to ensure for smooth operations.
  • Managing all human resources management issues in the transport department.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate should have a degree in Engineering or Logistics and Transport or other relevant field and at least
  • 10 years of relevant work experience, 5 years of which should be in sugar cane transportation operations. In addition, the candidate must have:
  • Ability to appraise and use IT packages and electronic communication methods.
  • Tact, diplomacy and calmness, especially when dealing with tired drivers and loaders.
  • An analytical mind and good numeric skills
  • Excellent geographical knowledge
