Fitness Instructors

About Reform Cycling and Strength Studio: Reform Cycling & Strength Studio (“Reform”) will be opening in Nairobi in October 2015. 

Reform is a group exercise fitness studio and will be offering indoor cycling classes, circuit training classes and pilates classes using technology allowing clients to monitor their performance data such as heart rate, calories and power in real time using group display in the classes.

Recruiting 2 Full Time Fitness Instructors 

Reform is recruiting 2 full time fitness instructors with a minimum of two years experience teaching fitness classes at a gym / hotel. 

Candidates should have experience in teaching circuit training classes, pilates classes and indoor cycling classes. 

Former Kenya professional athletes will also be considered.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
  • Teaching  group fitness classes;
  • Maintaining Reform’s fitness equipment;
  • Assisting reception staff with administrative duties; and
  • Reporting to Reform’s CEOs on a weekly basis on any issues with the fitness studio.

General Manager

Cricket Kenya (CK) the board mandated to govern the sport in the country seeks to appoint on a fixed term basis, an experienced, dynamic and energetic individual as General Manager (GM) to lead and manage its activities.

The successful candidate will report to the CK Board and will implement and spearhead the overall vision and strategic direction of CK’s cricket and commercial operations.

IT Manager

Job Purpose

Qualifications and Experience
  • A University degree in IT or related field.
  • MSCE, CCNA, highly required.
  • Hands on Experience on Server administration, ERP systems, Database servers, Mail servers, Web Programming and Backup Systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a busy environment preferably the hospitality industry with at least 2 years in a managerial post.

Golf Course & Estate Supervisor

Background and scope

Directs, manages and ensures proper maintenance and the development of Karen Country Club golf course and estate.

This is a professional position involving managerial responsibilities and advanced technical knowledge in golf course design and maintenance but must also anticipate and implement all golf course maintenance practices as such, this is a “hands on” position requiring participation in many daily tasks while managing the ground staff.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Formal Qualifications in Green keeping/ Turf Management
  • At least 5years’ experience in green keeping gained at a selection of top class golf courses.
  • Must be a Certified Agrochemicals user and possess training in Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge on the game of golf
  • Knowledge of the use of turf and landscaping equipment including tractors, mowers, strimmers, electric motors, pumps, sprinklers and Irrigation systems with particular emphasis on Toro machines.
  • Experience in preparation of courses to PGA tournament standards and maintenance of sand based greens
  • Experience in building tees, greens and bunkers
  • Excellent communication, analytical, planning and reporting skills.
Applicants are expected to be of high integrity and no criminal record.

Golf Course & Estate Supervisor

Background and scope

Directs, manages and ensures proper maintenance and the development of Karen Country Club golf course and estate.

This is a professional position involving managerial responsibilities and advanced technical knowledge in golf course design and maintenance but must also anticipate and implement all golf course maintenance practices as such, this is a “hands on” position requiring participation in many daily tasks while managing the ground staff.

Main Responsibility
  • Prepare plans, organize and implement the proper maintenance of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, trees, water hazards and all other parts of the estate
  • Prepare and direct total maintenance program, assigning tasks to subordinate staff, and evaluating their performance.
  • Prepare and present budgets to the Golf committee through the Director and ensure that the budget is administered correctly.
  • Responsible for the selection of capital improvement projects.
  • Analyze disease, insect and other turf grass stress problems, select and apply solutions to resolve problems.
  • Manages and ensures proper maintenance of complex irrigation system for golf course.
  • Installs redesigns and modifies system as necessary. Performs and supervises electrical and plumbing repairs of the system.
  • In charge and directs the usage of all the agrochemicals and fertilizers on the golf course.
  • Monitors store operations and keeping its records thus controls fuel and materials usage.
  • Ensures safety within and without the workshop area as well as instructing the machine operators on safety, efficient operation and care of the machines.
