International School of Kenya >> Scholarship

International School of Kenya - Empowering students to create solutions for tomorrow's challenges

ISK Scholarship - Stepping stone to the world

Are you an outstanding Kenyan student looking for academic challenge in a culturally diverse school?

ISK and IB Diploma are for YOU.

Applications are now being accepted f0r students entering Grades 9 or 10 in August 2016

2016 - 2017 High School Scholarships

Thank you and good luck to all students.

The deadline for applications is January 22, 2016.  High School Scholarships for Kenyans based on merit and proven financial need

These scholarships provide financial support for outstanding Kenyan students, who otherwise could not afford tuition, for the High School years including but not limited to the IB Diploma.

The specific aim is to provide opportunities for low to middle income Kenyan students to participate in an academically rich and culturally diverse experience that will open the doors to university admission (and potentially further scholarship support) to the best universities in the world.

Our High School program spans grades 9-12 and follows an August - May academic schedule. Given transitional issues related to moving from the Kenyan school system to ISK, as well as the inherent rigors of the IB Diploma program, applicants must be entering grade 9 or 10 to be eligible.

Scholarship recipients are entitled to a 100% reduction in tuition fees, the admission fee, bus fee, and the IB exam fees.

The capital levy fee is waived and covered by the scholarship.  Scholarships last for the duration of the student's time at ISK, provided they remain in good standing at the school. Scholarships may be revoked for poor academic performance or behavior.

Applications are screened by a scholarship committee and awarded to the recipients by April 2015. Financial need is assessed upon completion of ISK’s family finance disclosure form (including relevant supporting documentation).

Eligibility Requirements for the High School scholarship:

Selection for the scholarships is competitive and applications are based on the following criteria:
  • Kenyan citizenship
  • Proven financial need
  • Fluency in English (oral & written)
  • High academic achievement in English language curriculum
  • Leadership & commitment to service
  • Must be 14 years of age by July 2015
  • Must have completed Standard 8
