Marketing & Brand Manager – Online Media Brand
Our subsidiary - one of the top 5 most popular Kenyan websites by traffic – seeks an ambitious and motivated Marketing & Brand Manager.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager who can bring bothstrategic and tactical marketing skills in the exciting, hands-on high-growth online sector in Kenya, Tanzania & Uganda.
You will have a passion for marketing and be a self-starter with a proven track record of managing marketing for a medium sized organisation or larger. Experience in digital marketing is an invaluable bonus that will work to your advantage.

Description:
This is a great opportunity to expand an exciting consumer brand in East Africa as well as work across a broad range of marketing activities including brand development, campaigns, online & mobile, PR, social media, display and other above the line media. The role will suit a candidate with a great balance of creative flair, passion, energy and commerciality.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for:
Marketing Campaigns
Ensuring that all marketing & brand activities are aligned to the company strategy
Prepare and implement the company's quarterly marketing plan with reasonable milestones and measurement criteria
Develop an appropriate marketing communication strategy to reach our different core audiences
Identify cost effective communication media
Utilise appropriate tactical tools of communication
Manage the marketing budget
Manage relationships with related suppliers e.g. printers, agencies, etc.
Oversight of new campaign development activities
Digital marketing
Oversight of all digital campaigns (internet/mobile - this will constitute the majority of the marketing budget) including weekly and monthly consolidated reporting
Provide new ideas of entrenching the target brand through proper management of marketing communication
Coordinate and manage availability of information in appropriate communication channels such as emails, websites, CRM and portals
Brand Initiatives
Provide new ideas of entrenching the target brand through proper management of marketing communication;
Manage integrated marketing communication, including Internal Marketing
Drive the company's brand image and conduct surveys on market perception of the brand
Manage a register of all on-going communication initiatives
Other activities
Analysis of data & web analytics to identify opportunities
Budgeting, Forecasting & Targeting
Reporting
Make a significant contribution to the company at a management levels
Occasional travel within East Africa
Requirements:
Must have 4+ years experience in marketing
Must be a university graduate with formal training in Marketing
Experience of digital marketing campaigns (online display campaigns, social media, mobile ad campaigns, SEO awareness, etc)
Able to demonstrate success in cost effectively building a brand and executing marketing initiatives that tie in with organisational strategy
Professional qualification/involvement in CIM or similar will work to your advantage
Strong planning and organisational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be an innovative thinker
