Qualifications


Certificate / Diploma in Front Office, Customer Care or Secretarial Studies
 
At least 1 year experience in similar position in a busy organization
Key Competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Should be willing to work on flex time
  • Should be neat and presentable with a pleasant personality
  • Aged between 20 – 28 years
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Answer all incoming calls and operate switchboard
  • Route calls to the appropriate staff
  • Greet visitors, ascertain purpose of visit, and direct them to the appropriate staff
  • Provide first positive image of MICATO SAFARIS
  • Take and relay messages
  • Maintain an up to date correspondences register of all outgoing calls
  • Appropriately respond to public inquiries
  • Maintain confidentiality in all correspondences and communications with the staff and other stakeholders

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, installing and upgrading electrical/electronic systems and equipment to attain efficiency and reliability and optimal performance.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical/electronic systems and components to ensure optimal performance and full compliance with specifications and operational and safety standards.
  • Support the procurement of electric/electronic equipment by providing specifications and testing the equipment on arrival to ensure that they meet the set standards.
  • Prepare and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical/electronic installations to ensure equipment/service availability.
  • Monitor the operations of electrical/electronic systems and equipment o ensure optimal operation and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions.
  • Supervise electric/electronic contractors to ensure quality outputs and compliance with service delivery and safety standards.
  • Set and communicate safety standards relating to electric/electronic systems and equipment and enforce compliance.
  • Contribute to the development of capital budgets by specifying electric/electronic requirements and the related cost estimates.
  • Ensure that manufacturer's instructions and established procedures relating to the maintenance of electric/electronic systems are complied with at all times.
Academic Qualifications
  • B.SC Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent form recognized University.
  • Be a Registered Engineer with an internationally recognized institution.
  • Possession of current Practice License from Professional Body.
  • Good Interpersonal skills.
Required skills
  • Should have broad based experience on High & Low Voltage systems, transmission, distribution & installations.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) wiring regulations.
  • Be a registered at Professional level with Kenya Engineers Registration Board
  • Licensed electrician Class A1 with Energy regulatory Commission (Formerly Electricity Regulatory Board).
  • Have at least 5 years practical experience
  • Have practical knowledge in Electronic Systems, Electronics Troubleshooting, Electronic Testing Design, Project Management, Quality Focus, Analyzing Information, excellent diagnostic skills and Innovation

Logistics Officer

Key Responsibilities
 
You will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Assume full responsibility for all Imports and Exports processes.
  • Organise all Inbound and Outbound transportation of goods and materials
  • Handle all KRA transactions relating to imports and exports, ensuring compliance with set regulations.
  • Maintain an up to date register of all materials arriving in the country by Sea, Air or Road, clearly indicating the condition of the import on arrival.
  • Manage local and international Clearing & Forwarding agents, ensuring that all consignments are processed as quickly as possible.
  • Participate in the preparation of exemption request letters and follow through to ensure timely approval.
  • Ensure that all import and export transactions are accurately documented, including exit and entry points, and all documentation submitted in a timely manner.
  • Monitor changes in government regulations relating to company’s operations and highlight these to management.
  • Follow up on supplier payments and ensure these are done as per the agreed terms
  • Prepare and submit Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports as per the reporting schedule.
  • Maintain complete records related to export and import transactions.
Qualifications and experience
  • A degree in Procurement and Materials Management or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in logistics management
  • Specialized training in logistics management will be a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of customs and import procedures and regulations, and rules around duty on imported goods and the capacity to handle trade finance documentation with ease
  • Use of ERP software or other related logistics software is required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
  • Capacity to work independently and cope with stress, pressure and extended working hours.
  • Proactive, results oriented with excellent leadership skills
