Branch Accountant - Receivables Job in Kenya (KShs 27K - 33K)

Our client, a professional training institution of higher learning is seeking to recruit a suitable qualified candidate to fill the position of Branch Accountant - Receivables
 
Salary 27K - 33K
 
Eligible candidate must meet the following qualifications;
  • Have a minimum of a B. Ed, a B.A or B. Sc with specialization in business or statistics, a Bachelor of Business Management or a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from a recognized university;
  • Additional CPA or ACCA qualification will be an added advantage;
  • Have a minimum of B in K.C.S.E;
  • Be computer literate with excellent analytical and mathematical skills;
  • Experience in debt collection will be of added advantage;
  • Be proactive and a self starter with a passion for customer service;
  • Must have minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar or related position
Key Responsibilities

 Among other duties, he/she will be responsible for;
  •  Collection of fees and follow up on fee arrears to meet set revenue collection targets;
  • Authentication of money, bank slips and cheques;
  • Identifying any loopholes in the revenue collection process that may lead to loss of money and suggest possible solutions;
  • Analyzing and advising on revenue trends and preparation of revenue projections;
  • Preparation and submission of the reports with regards to the branch revenue collection;

The intern will provide general inputs to support the Management Information System (MIS) as it is becoming fully operational.
S/he is expected to ensure that the quality of service delivery is consistent, efficient and responsive. 
S/he will come into regular contact with a wide range of staff and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly is important. 
Roles and responsibilities
  • Draft MIS project information sheets.
  • Verify contract and project partner information in MIS.
  • Confirm/verify project starting and end dates.
  • Review and edit project and sub-project numbers in line with Navision.
  • Provide templated general MIS information overviews.
  • Any other duties related to the MIS and requested by the Results team.
Reporting to: Results Programme Manager

Academic and professional qualifications
  • An undergraduate degree preferably in (development) economics or related field or evidence of on-going relevant undergraduate studies. Work experience
  • Basic experience in data entry would be an added advantage.
Additional skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Office applications, preferably experience with information and/or project databases.
  • Good oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in a clear and succinct manner.
  • A self-motivated individual keen to learn and work effectively.
  • Good team player.

They are looking for an Administration Assistant, who shall be responsible for the front office of the organization.

Job Responsibilities
  • Receiving and directing clients and visitors
  • Answering and directing phone calls to the respective recipients
  • Responding to general enquiries and FAQs
  • Receiving and distributing mail and other official documents
  • Drafting and typing correspondence, replying emails
  • Writing quotations for the customers
  • Ensuring that the office is clean

  • The organization prefers male candidates between the age of 23 – 28.
