Assistant Marketing Manager
 
Qualification and Experience
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three years experience in similar role
  • Must have basic knowledge of designing software
  • Experience quoting and managing print jobs, as well as working with printers
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once and meet the tight deadlines
  • IT Distribution experience will be preferred
Other Skills and Attributes
  • Assist in preparing and implement marketing plan for the company
  • Work with the reporting manager to prepare a core brand message, marketing strategy and apply these into all aspects of media
  • Assist designer in concepts layouts for core media items (Brochure, ads, websites etc.)
  • Assist in regular contact with all major industry magazines / newspaper to supply any required promotional material
  • Organizing & managing Press conferences and events for the company
  • Organizing Channel Partner/Dealer meet events and training for partners
  • Role would primarily deal with assisting in the implementation of Quarterly marketing plan programs, claims, invoicing and claim submission, along with daily marketing tasks.
  • Meet all deadlines set by the under signed authority
  • Executing & managing a variety of marketing activities that involve mail, advertising campaigns, company and industry events, media advertisements, promotions, and other marketing plans.
  • Working with Direct Advertisers and Advertising Agencies for executing quarterly marketing activities

Send a Cow (SAC) is an international NGO set up in 1988 now working in 8 African countries. 
Its mission is to enable disadvantaged families in rural Africa to attain food and livelihood security by developing sustainable agricultural systems which integrate crops and livestock with social development. 
SAC has been working in Kenya through Heifer International (K) for 13 years. 
The organization is now seeking to establish an independent programme in Kenya initially based in Kakamega. 
We are seeking to appoint a Finance coordinator for this starting programme.

The successful candidate should be at least CPA II/ B. Com Accounting or higher. 
S/he will need to demonstrate effective preparation and management of budgets, financial accounts, reports & other financial systems. 
Experience of working with an NGO, restricted grants management and delivering training to community groups are desirable.

Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) Field Officers Jobs in Lower Eastern and Central Rift Kenya

The Eastern Africa Grain Council (EAGC) is a membership-based organization registered in Kenya with country offices in Uganda and Tanzania. 
Our members are key stakeholders and players in the grain value chain including cereal growers, millers and processors drawn from within and outside the East Africa States. 
Our core mandate is to develop and promote orderly structured marketing systems and provide market information for grains so as to reduce transaction costs and eliminate barriers’ to regional trade.

We seek to employ Field Officers in Lower Eastern and Central Rift, who have a strong work ethic, highly organised, team players, self motivated and able to work under minimum supervision.

Reporting to the Project Officer WRS who is also the Team Leader –EAGC Kenya, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
  • Plan, develop and execute the Warehouse Receipt Systems (WRS) activities in assigned area including identifying potential farmers/ farmer groups and markets for aggregated commodities.
  • Identify and oversee the establishment of aggregations centers and WRS certified warehouses.
  • Link aggregation centers to WRS certified warehouses.
  • Establish market linkages & identify buyers for the commodity held in the warehouses.
  • Ensure all warehouses under their jurisdiction submit data via the Real-Time Volume Tracking (RTVT) System.
  • Collect and relay any relevant market information to EAGC including crop updates, price information, grain supply and demand and grain sources.
  • Sensitize and create awareness about WRS to farmers, traders and other stakeholders through trainings, field days, workshops, fairs and any other forums.
  • Mobilize farmers to deliver the set volume targets for maize, wheat, paddy rice and pulses to certified warehouses.
  • Conduct training on proper post-harvest handling, grain quality standards, and WRS process.
  • Prepare field activity reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis.
  • Maintain an up to date record of all farmers, farmer groups, aggregation centers, warehouses and stakeholders.
  • Manage other EAGC activities such as Agribusiness Expos.
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in agricultural economics, agribusiness or related agricultural field
  • Two (2) years relevant working experience.
  • Experience working with farmers or in an agribusiness environment will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A problem solver, team player and independent thinker.
  • Capacity to manage several tasks simultaneously. Be flexible and willing to assume a range of unanticipated assignments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in use of Ms Office suite.
  • Have a valid motor cycle riding licenses and a minimum of two years riding experience.
