Salary: 20K - 25K
 
Eligible candidates must meet the following qualifications:
 
Must have a minimum of a Diploma in Hotel Management or any related field from a recognized institution.
 
Must be a well trained Barista (Certificate of training required)
 
Must have worked for a minimum of 2 years as a Barista in a well established coffee house.
 
Must be presentable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Company
 
Nicola Farms Limited (NFL) is a company specializing horticulture and livestock farming. 
The company is based in Murang’a County near Maragua town in Central Kenya.

Livestock Manager
Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position. 
The successful applicant will oversee the management of animal health, feeding and productivity. 
He/she will report directly to the Operations Manager on all day-to-day matters pertaining to the Livestock unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of the animal health – Preventive and curative program
  • Oversee the management of animal feeding program.
  • Daily labour planning, allocation, and monitoring.
  • Carrying out animal improvement research and advising the company on the same.
  • Developing and implementing fisheries projects.
  • Giving out a monthly report to the management on the livestock performance.
  • Keeping farm records including the following: Calving records, Breeding records, Health record, Productivity records, Sales records, Staff attendance records
Desired Competences/Qualifications
  • Certificate/ Diploma in animal Husbandry from a recognized institution.
  • Have knowledge in Veterinary and AI services.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in animal rearing job.
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Good team player
  • Good reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Good record keeping/ Analytical skills
  • Driving licence
