Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receiving and verifying goods delivered.
  • Preparation of reports.
  • Carrying out stock taking.
  • Issuance of goods.
  • Maintaining of records register.
  • Carrying out of market survey.
  • Custodian of stores.
  • Any other relevant duties assigned.
Requirements for Appointment
 
Academic and professional qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Commerce/Economics/Procurement & Supplies or related field from a recognized University.
  • Diploma in Supplies Management (CIPS) or its equivalent.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body.
  • Must have at least 3 years experience in a similar position in a comparable organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the vessel is ship shape.
  • Carrying out general cleaning of deck, superstructure and hull maintenance.
  • Carrying out vessel boarding, search and seizure.
  • Carrying out sea man ship duties.
  • Preparing weekly report to the coxswain on defects, deficiencies and actual condition of the stores.
  • Any other relevant duties assigned.

Academic and professional qualifications
  • KCSE C Plain or its equivalent.
  • Diploma in Marine/Nautical Engineering or relevant training from a recognized institution.
  • Must have worked at least 3 years in a large vessel.
