Job Title:     Training Executive.

Reports To:  Managing Consultant.

Job Summary

Responsible for Training and development activities in regards to client demand so as to ensure the achievement of maximum client’s satisfaction and growth in line with company vision and values. Establish plans and strategize on training need for different organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet client’s expectation.
  • Make presentations to our clients.
  • Prepare proposals for clients
  • Prepare quotations for clients
  • Prepare tender documents for bids
  • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make sure that you meet their expectation.
  • maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails;
  • calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business;
  • acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets;
  • gathering market and customer information;
  • challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to satisfied;
  • Advising on special training needs.
  • reviewing your own training techniques, aiming to meet or exceed expectation;
  • gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;
  • feeding future training trends back to clients;
  • Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues as well as conducting team building.
Knowledge And Skill Requirement
  • A degree/diploma in the field related to training especially human resource or public relation.
  • Five years experience in training field.
  • 2 years experience in handling training.
  • Candidate should be a team player
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
  • Must be self driven and able to meet deadlines
  • High level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and a “can do” attitude.

Human Resource & Administration Manager

Job Description
This is a local position.

Summary
Responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the human resources, procurement and administrative functions of the national office.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the adaptation and implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and systems for the management of human resources, administration and procurement
  • Serve as Advisor to the National Director and SMT on updated laws and regulations governing NGOs in the areas of HR, and administrative matters and take initiatives to ensure national office compliance
  • Functional leadership for the development of security policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures for national and area/field offices
  • Responsible for management of organizational equipment (vehicles, office machines, etc.) and facilities, to include maintenance oversight/coordination, insurance negotiation and management and budget development
  • Ensures compliance with all legal employment obligations in line with existing local labor and other related laws; ensure that Code of Conduct, child protection, whistle blower and conflict of interest policies are updated, communicated to and observed by all staff
  • Responsible for oversight and leadership in national office recruitment strategy, in consultation with the National Director, confirm appointments and ensure optimal candidate selection
  • Leadership and oversight for employee relations programs; ensure compliance with employee grievance, disciplinary and performance management programs and policies
  • Provide leadership and direction for the implementation of remuneration programs and policies, provide oversight for analysis and recommendations for benefits and compensation related budget initiatives; ensures staff termination and severance administration/calculations are within policy and legal requirements
  • Build the capacity of national office, affiliates and partners HR and Administration teams by ensuring staff is receiving the necessary competence through training and capacity building initiatives, individually or in groups
  • Responsible for development and management of annual administration budget
  • Custodian of all organizational policies and procedures
Required Skills
  • 8 - 10 years experience in an office administration and or/ human resources capacity, preferably in a multi-cultural environment
  • Demonstrated prior experience in a management role
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English and Swahili;  fluency in French, Spanish or Portuguese an added advantage
  • Excellent understanding of office administration practices and contract negotiation
  • Must be computer literate
  • Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multiple task, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong confidentiality ethic, demonstrate flexibility, and versatility in adjusting to changing environments and requirements as necessary
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills including the ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally with sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, social and political issues
Education/Certifications
  • College degree in business administration or relevant discipline or equivalent relevant work experience
Finance Director

Job Description
This position is open to kenyan and international applicants.

Summary
  • Ensures the integrity of National Office financial management systems including general accounting policies and procedures, financial reporting, budget formulation and monitoring and financial analysis.
  • Duties/Responsibilities
  • Ensures financial stewardship and accountability at all levels of financial operations. Ensures the integrity of financial management systems within the National Office.  Ensures that proper internal controls exist and are followed for all financial activities of the National office
  • Ensures Program is in compliance with internal control policies related to the financial and administrative components, according to IO procedures and donor’s requirements
  • Ensures that accounting manuals are updated and revised periodically
  • Oversee the financial software system and direct the appropriate monthly accounting closing procedures.  Ensure appropriate communication on financial matters with the Regional/International Offices, affiliates and local governments
  • Ensures timely and quality information for all financial reporting requirements (e.g. IO, grants and donors)
  • Ensures timely preparation & disbursement of staff salaries, allowances and regulatory requirements (e.g. taxes, pensions)
  • Ensures that annual audit is conducted according to procedures, the timely closure of audit recommendations, documentation and preparation of a plan of action and audit corrective measures are followed
  • Monitor cash flow in collaboration with the National Director; keep leadership informed about significant operational variances from budget or other financial issues.  Supervises the preparation of cash flow and cash transfer requests and ensures that appropriate balances are  maintained to facilitate smooth program implementation
  • Supervises bank relations and bank account activities including transfer fees, interest and currency exchange rates.  In compliance with organization policies, establishes country policies regarding cash holding limits, cash movements and fund management. Oversees the timely preparation, review and approval of all monthly bank accounts and cash reconciliations
  • Coordinates the preparation, and implementation of the financial aspects of budget packages (operative expenses, NSP, Grants) for the National Office and Affiliated Entities.  Monitors financial performance compared to the budget throughout the year and takes corrective actions as appropriate
  • Reviews financial system of the affiliated entities and provide ongoing capacity building, training and mentoring support to affiliates making sure established standards are being followed
Required Skills
  • 10 years progressive work experience in accounting including analysis, financial reporting, budgeting, financial software and reporting systems;  5 years experience in a management role
  • Prior experience in financial aspect of Grants Development and Management preferred
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, budget/cash-flow monitoring and internal accounting controls
  • Senior leadership experience in strategic financial management
  • Strong decision making ability using good judgment and professionalism
  • Good understanding of administrative, financial and general management principles and skilled in financial reporting, budgeting and taxes
  • Self-guided, strong organizational and planning skills; Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Fluency in English required, proficiency in other language (Swahili, French, Spanish or Portuguese) preferred
  • Track record of successfully training, developing/mentoring and supervising finance staff
  • Strong inter-personal skills and proven team-player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities
  • Able to solve complex problems and to exercise independent judgment
  • Able to work in a cross-cultural environment with a multi-national staff
  • High level computer literacy and knowledge of spreadsheet applications
Education                                      
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent relevant work experience. CPA or ACCA preferred
