Terre des hommes Data Clerk Job in Kenya (3 Weeks)

Data Clerk Required

Terre des hommes (Lausanne) is advertising for the recruitment of a data clerk for the duration of approximately 3 weeks from 13th April 2012.

The data clerk is requested to support Tdh in the data collection and analysis for the IYCF KAP survey, part of Tdh’s Health and Nutrition project in Lagdera District (Garissa County), Kenya. The data clerk will also conduct basic IT training to the MoH health staff.

The data clerk will conduct her/his duties in respect of the charter of Terre des hommes (Tdh) and within the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, including the Tdh Child Protection Policy.

Tdh expects the professional conduct of its employees and contractors to reflect proper behaviour in accordance with local culture and the traditions.

The Consultant agrees to ensure the moral protection of the name of Tdh and defends in all circumstances the interests of the movement.

The Consultant will direct her/his activities and engagements without political, racial or religious affiliation.

Requirements:
  • Expert in Excel, ENA, EpiInfo, SPSS
  • Good knowledge of statistics and analysis
  • Experience in IT training

  • Develop test environments to troubleshoot new functionality before deployment.
  • End user documentation and training.
  • Developing from scratch; building with Navision from the ground up.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 + years of Microsoft NAV Development and SQL Server programming
  • Ability to do full C/AL C/SIDE coding
  • Reports, Forms, Tables, Code Units, Data/XML Ports
  • Developing in Classic and Role Tailored Clients
  • Has proven success in creating customizations in Microsoft Dynamics Navision

Ultrasonographers: Ref: HRD/ULTS/03/12


Reporting to the Chief Radiographer, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:


    Performing ultrasound examinations.
    Producing reports for ultrasounds performed.
    Performing routine and special examinations.
    Safeguarding all confidential information concerning patients and their treatment.
    Maintaining equipment, accessories and stock logs.
    Effective use of picture archiving & radiological information systems.
    Safeguarding hospital equipment and patient’s property from damage, wastage or loss.
    Upholding professional code of conduct and statutory regulations especially on radiation safety.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:


    Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Radiography.
    Higher Diploma in Ultrasonography.
    Registration with Radiation Protection Board.
    Valid practice licence.
    Two (2) years work experience.
    Computer literate.
    Detail oriented.
    Good interpersonal skills.


Staff Nurses: Ref: HRD/SN/03/12


    Reporting to the Charge Sisters, the successful candidates will be responsible for the following amongst others:
    Utilizing the standard procedures of nursing care to continuously improve the quality of nursing care.
    Exercising professionalism at all times while treating patients with dignity, privacy and respect.
    Safeguarding all confidential information concerning patients and their treatment.
    Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and other professionals to advocate for patients.
    Providing accurate documentation, proper record keeping and storage for continuity.
    Utilizing infection control measures to provide a safe and suitable environment for patients/ staff and others.
    Reporting all complaints and incidents to the Charge Sister.
    Safeguarding hospital equipment and patient’s property from damage, wastage or loss.
    Maintaining good interpersonal relationship amongst the nursing team, patients and other disciplines.
    Upholding professional code of conduct and statutory regulations.


Qualifications and Experience:


    Diploma in accredited School of Nursing: KRN/KRM/KRCHN.
    BSc. Nursing is an added advantage.
    Minimum two years experience in a busy hospital.
