They are looking for a high caliber individual to fill the position of Finance Manager.

Job Overview

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the role holder will establish and maintain financial procedures for the organization.

The incumbent will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

The Principal Accountabilities include:
  • Provide and interpret financial information
  • Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends
  • Analyze change and advise accordingly
  • Formulate strategic and long-term business plans
  • Research and report on factors influencing business performance
  • Analyze competitors and market trends
  • Develop financial management mechanism that minimize financial risk
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
  • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts e.g. auditors, suppliers, bankers and statutory organizations
  • Produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines
  • Manage budgets
  • Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO
Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or ACCA qualification
  • At least four (4) years progressive job related experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Detail-oriented and can work well under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The Gender Violence Recovery Centre (GVRC) of the Nairobi Womens Hospital (NWH) is the centre of excellence in the prevention and management of gender based violence in Africa, while NWH is trusted with the healthcare of Women in Africa.

We are recruiting a high calibre individual to join our team as:

Programmes Manager

Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will be responsible for programme development and leadership including planning, resource mobilization, implementation, coordination and evaluation of all GVRC programmes.

The key responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to:-
  • Resource Mobilization for GVRC programmes; grant management and reporting to donors and partners.
  • Planning, implementing and coordinating all GVRC programs – Administration, Monitoring and evaluation and advocacy.
  • Ensuring budget management
  • Training & Capacity building on gender based violence, human rights, HIV/AIDS and other related areas
  • Public/Community Awareness programs relating to GBV and HIV/AIDS
  • Networking & Social Mapping of likeminded Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), the private sector & other stakeholders to enhance lobbying and advocacy for programs and policies that protect women, men and children from Gender Based Violence.
  • Developing IEC materials for the organization
  • Formulation & Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Centre.
  • Developing, training, motivating and evaluating departmental staff to achieve highest levels of performance
  • Identifying, implementing and benchmarking best practices in management
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or its equivalent.
  • At least 4 years relevant work experience as a Program Officer in an NGO.
  • Programs development course will be an added advantage
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Ms. Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Strong communication and effective interpersonal skills
  • Relevant masters degree will be an added advantage

Requirements

Must have 5 years experience in FMCG and the following;
  • Export market, Identifying new market, survey prospecting
  • Experience of budgeting
  • Experience of marketing, Promotions, Merchandising and product display
  • Management of a sales team
  • A sales, marketing or brand management background and working knowledgeably in imports and export trade
  • Must have a degree in preferably Sales, Exports or Marketing
  • Must have at least 5years in FMCG environment
