Nutrition Advisor

1 position based in Nairobi with field travel.

One year contract with possibility of extension if additional funding is secured.

The Nutrition Advisor will be responsible for ensuring all nutrition programming is of excellent technical quality; fundraising through attracting significant donor funding; contributes significantly to national/global learning, advocacy and programme development.

The post holder is expected to provide technical advice and support to project staff to ensure programming objectives are successfully achieved.

He/She shall also contribute to the development and implementation of the Newborn and Child Survival Strategy.

Requirements
  • A Nutrition professional with a Masters degree in nutrition or equivalent.
  • Significant professional experience of working at a senior advisory level in nutrition for international NGOs or the private sector in Kenya.
  • Excellent understanding of the nutrition sector within the Kenyan context, particularly maternal, newborn and child nutrition issues.
  • Proven representation and advocacy skills.
  • Strong commitment to capacity building of national staff and partners with willingness to adopt a participatory and consultative approach.
  • Strong report writing skills, including experience in writing funding proposals and donor reports.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language difficulties.
  • Experience in emergency nutrition work.
  • Experience in promoting and mainstreaming Child Rights based programming in nutrition programme design, implementation and evaluation.
  • Good understanding of poverty reduction strategy framework and related processes.

1) East Africa Technical Team Leader

One position based in Kenya

Key responsibilities:
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of technology support services to energy enterprises in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, dealing in renewable energy, energy efficiency and related products such as improved cook stoves and briquettes
  • Provide guidance and supervise technology officers in the three countries
  • Assist in quality control to ensure achievement of outcomes and impacts

2) Renewable Energy Technology Officer

Based in Mwanza

Tanzania, the Energy Technical Officers will be involved in providing technical support to energy enterprises dealing in various energy technologies, including improved cook stoves, briquettes and solar systems.

Key responsibilities:
  • Recruitment of energy enterprises (dealers and micro-dealers) to be supported.
  • Provide technology training to the enterprises in relevant energy technologies.
  • Provide technology mentoring services to the entrepreneurs, covering production inputs and processes, tools and equipment, quality standards and assurance, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in renewable energy business technical due diligence.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in renewable energy technologies or a closely related course.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a related field.
  • Willing to work with entrepreneurs in rural areas.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Job Title: Area Business Supervisor

Job Purpose

As area business supervisor, you will be responsible for driving sales and distribution operation in the region allocated for realization of monthly and annual sales objectives.

Key Accountabilities
  • Effectively manage the customer order and stock management in order to achieve sales and revenue targets as well as growth objectives.
  • Administer target distribution plans through implementation of robust Route to Market that guarantees supplies to the target trade channels by product category and SKU.
  • Ensure proper use of sales tools.
  • Customer account management to ensure invoices for orders supplied are paid in full within the provided traded terms;
  • Development and building of good relationships with the key customers in the Region for their continued support and partnership in driving realization of our growth agenda;

Person Specification

In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that the ideal candidate will have:
  • Business Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Management, and Social Sciences or equivalent from a recognized University
  • Professional experience in sales & marketing preferred
  • At least 3 years working experience in Sales in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods Industry
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

1. Internal Auditor

Applicants must be graduates with full CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent backed by at least 3 to 4 years auditing experience. IT skills are absolutely essential for the job.

2. Accountant

3. Credit Controller
