Our client a firm based in industrial area and specializing in industrial and construction adhesive manufacturing is looking for a store keeper

Department: Finance

Job Title: Storekeeper

Reports To: Accountant

Interfaces With: Sales, Production and Finance

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Checking of incoming goods against the delivery notes in respect of damage, special instruction, quantity and certificates of conformance
  • Recording of receipts of incoming goods
  • Placing of goods according to location criteria
  • Counting or weighing of goods as appropriate and the recording of transaction
  • Handling of store requisitions and loading of finished products
  • Ensuring safe keeping of company’s finished goods and raw materials
  • Stores maintenance
  • Issues to and from production
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Store Keeping
  • Computer literate
  • Working experience of at least 3 years in a busy store
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Objective:
  • Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market.
  • Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values.
  • Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for the sales team.
Job Description
  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Identify distribution channels
  • Set up targets for the sales team and ensure they are achieved on time
  • Be ready to travel regionally
  • Connections in the target segment (corporate and distribution channels)
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the Sales Executives.
  • Initiate and /or develop action plans for individuals as well as for the team aimed at to penetrate new markets and maintain the current markets.
  • Effectively create sales leads and prospects.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
  • Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Executives to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of Account Executive’s sales and activity performance.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
  • Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives.
  • Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Assists Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations.
  • Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Recruits, tests, and hires Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management.
Requirements
  • A Bachelors degree from a recognized university in a business related field.
  • A post graduate degree in sales and marketing will be an added advantage.
  • 2-3 years working experience with and managing a target-driven sales team, preferably in East Africa.
  • experience in an electrical product’s company in sales is an added advantage
  • Analytical and process-oriented thinker

  • Ability to cope with changing deadlines and priorities
  • Can do attitude even under tight deadlines

Position: Procurement Officer

Department: Procurement & Logistics

Supervised By: Procurement Manager.

Role Objective/Summary

To establish and implement logistics procedures in line with organizational requirements and ensure proper day-to-day stock control and the integrity of stock levels.

Duties
  • Ensure there is effective and efficient importation and exportation process of goods.
  • Develop a standard list of foreign and domestic suppliers and establish a database of quotes for various items.
  • Liaise with the Logistics Manager implement the procurement planned activities in line with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Placing orders, checking shipment and receiving all incoming supplies; inspect and verify for conformity to the order specifications and delivery notes.
  • Register and maintain proper files of requisitions, quotations and purchase orders and other relevant documents.
  • Negotiating the lowest prices for commodity being purchased
  • Ensure effective, efficient, and timely management of supplies to the user departments.
  • Posting of Requests for Tender/quotations to prospective bidders.
  • Prepare periodic procurement status report and share as appropriate
Requirements
  • A Bachelors degree from a recognized university in a business related field.
  • A post graduate degree in Purchasing and supply will be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years working experience in a busy procurement department preferably with Electrical.
  • High level of integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
