Turbo School is a new boys boarding secondary school situated in Turbo on the main Eldoret Turbo Road that offers the 8-4-4 curriculum and aims to be a centre of academic excellence.

It opens in January 2012. In this regard we are looking for high calibre teachers to fill the following vacanices.

Principal

Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
  • To develop and implement the curriculum that reflects current approaches to effective learning based on the 8-4-4 system.
  • Provide professional leadership to teaching staff.
  • Be a motivator to the students and be able to achieve set targets.
  • Act as a liaison between the Board and parents.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
  • Be a holder of a degree from a recognised institution. A Masters degree in relevant field will have an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, management and communication skills.
  • Excellent marketing skills.
  • 5 years experience on administrative procedures and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisation and planning skills.
Teachers

Applicants must have a degree in their respective teaching fields and a minimum of 3 years experience in the following subject combinations
  • Maths /Physics /Biology /Chemistry /Agriculture /Computer Studies.
  • English / Kiswahili / CRE / History / Geography / Business / Music

Technical Coordinator - Nairobi, Kenya

Technical Coordinator

Location: Nairobi

Our client, a leading high-tech security provider in East Africa with its corporate headquarters in Nairobi is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to fill a position of Technical Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating between clients, technical team and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare installation schedule from equipment picking, slips received and communicate expected start date to the Sales team.
  • Communicate any changes in the scheduled dated to the Sales team and the Client.
  • Make appointments with the clients on behalf of the technical Supervisors.
  • Keep client informed on progress of installation and any changes in the schedule during the Installation process.
  • Collect Job cards from the Technical Supervisors and update into the Evolution system.
  • Ensure Technical Teams report on site in time and carry out the installation work within the quoted time.
  • Ensure all complains related to technical department are updated within 24 hours and effectively closed within 48 hours.
  • Liaise with clients on all technical issues including complains and communicate to the concerned personnel.
  • Ensure close inter-departmental co-ordination on technical related issues.
  • Forward weekly lists of the service, maintenance and Installations done to the Customer Care Manager for client feedback.
  • Ensure for all jobs Handing over documentation is signed by Client, and forward to Finance department for Invoicing.
  • Prepare quotations for upgrades and follow up with clients.
  • Daily data entry and generation of reports from the Evolution.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Business Administration and Management
  • 2 years experience.
  • Results oriented individual willing to work long hours
  • Have good communication skills
  • Some technical background will be an added advantage

Location: Nairobi

The successful candidate will be charged with a responsibility of operating Central Control Room Radio and Alarm Monitoring.

Responsibilities:
  • To operate the HF and VHF radio systems, telephone and computer terminals of the Central Control Room
  • To monitor the security alarm receiver, interpret and record alarm activations and faults and record result of alarm responses.
  • To give directions to mobile response units.
  • liaise with contact clients in connection with alarm activations
  • Calling the emergency services when required.
  • To receive and record telephone messages, complaints and requests for company services.
  • Monitoring and recording the movement of company vehicles.
  • To make entries in the Occurrence Book;
  • To maintain records of assignments and prepare reports and returns as directed.
  • To keep the Duty Controller informed of all incidents and alarm activations occurring during a tour of duty;
  • To take necessary action based on the guidelines and in line with the agreements made with the customer
Knowledge and Skills
  • Diploma in IT, Engineering or related field
  • Be computer literate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Alertness and quick response
  • Age: 25 - 35 years old
  • Ability to work for long hours
