AWF currently seeks to hire a Procurement Assistant to be based in its Headquarter Offices in Nairobi.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Officer, this position will assist the Procurement team in meeting the organizations objectives by ensuring timely, efficient and transparent procurement and timely delivery of high quality goods and services.

This position is a one year fixed term position with possibility for renewal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing purchase requisitions in the e-procurement system
  • Preparation and issue of Request for Quotations
  • Evaluating quotations/bids by preparation of bids analyses
  • Negotiating with vendors on the best terms of service including price, delivery, payments and after sales service.
  • Preparation of contracts in line with approved templates
  • Issuing contracts and purchase orders in line with award decisions
  • Expediting deliveries and ensuring receipt of goods or performance of services
  • Receiving and submission of invoices to accounts payable
  • Maintaining and keeping files for contracts and tenders
  • Maintaining vendor database in the e-procurement system
The successful candidate;
  • Will be a degree holder or Advanced Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies Management from recognized institution
  • Will have a minimum of 2 years working experience in a procurement role for an international organization preferably an NGO
  • Will be familiar with rules, regulations, and laws pertaining to contracting material.
  • Will have basic knowledge of the principle practices and methods of sourcing supplies, materials and services both locally and internationally.
  • Will have very good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multi cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity essential for maintaining working relationships with institutional officials and vendors.
  • Will have knowledge of the application of bookkeeping principles and methods to the keeping of procurement records.
  • Will be selfdriven with a proactive approach to problem solving.

ICT Services Director Job in Kenya - Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA)


The Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) is an independent commission set up under Article 215 of the Constitution of Kenya.

Its core mandate is to recommend the basis for equitable sharing of revenues raised nationally between the National and the County Government and among the County Governments.

The Commission seeks to recruit a qualified and competent candidate to fill the above position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the Commission’s ICT strategy, policy and plans.
  • Assess and regularly review the Commission’s ICT needs and recommend suitable ICT solutions.
  • Implement, offer user support and maintain the approved ICT solutions.
  • Formulate ICT security and risk mitigation strategies for the Commission.
  • Liaise with and recommend on ICT matters to County and National Governments.
  • Sensitize the Commission on new and upcoming ICT products.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, information Systems or Software Engineering from a reputable institution of higher learning. Additional post graduate qualifications in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience in progressively responsible senior ICT position(s).
  • Must have initiated and accomplished or actively participated in computerization projects.
  • Must be a person of integrity; demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong managerial skills, including motivating, developing, coaching and leading teams.
