Action Africa Help Uganda: AAH-U, a non-profit making agency that implements health and development projects in Uganda, seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative development leaders for the following vacancies:
 

Job Title: Mechanical Training Instructor

(01 Position)
 

Location: Adjumani
 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivery of Mechanical and Process Equipment Maintenance Training in accordance with published training schedule.
• Conduct assessments to determine the competence of trainee’s and delegates.
• Prepare trainee progress reports as required.
• Ensure all assessments are valid and reliable.
• Liaison with Managers, Training Coordinators to ensure all training activities are coordinated and conducted in accordance with agreed schedules
• Conduct practical training to students and invite industry professionals to provide technical support in accordance with AAH Uganda Training guidelines.

 

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a diploma in Technical Teacher Education or Training Institution Management or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related qualification from a recognized university/ training institution.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas/ mechanical/ plant installation
• Knowledge in the Maintenance of Pumps, Compressors and other Process Plant Equipment will be of added advantage.

Skills and Competencies

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Application
• Able to handle challenging tasks/assignments under pressure
• Have a passion for learning and training/teaching
• Dedicated, confident, able to multi-task, independent, creative
• Good communication, interpersonal, presentation & negotiation skills
• Able to work long/ flexible hours when required
