Action Africa Help Uganda: AAH-U, a non-profit making agency that implements health and development projects in Uganda, seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative development leaders for the following vacancies:
Job Title: Mechanical Training Instructor
(01 Position)
Location: Adjumani
Duties and Responsibilities
- Delivery of Mechanical and Process Equipment Maintenance Training in accordance with published training schedule.
- Conduct assessments to determine the competence of trainee’s and delegates.
- Prepare trainee progress reports as required.
- Ensure all assessments are valid and reliable.
- Liaison with Managers, Training Coordinators to ensure all training activities are coordinated and conducted in accordance with agreed schedules
- Conduct practical training to students and invite industry professionals to provide technical support in accordance with AAH Uganda Training guidelines.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a diploma in Technical Teacher Education or Training Institution Management or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related qualification from a recognized university/ training institution.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas/ mechanical/ plant installation
- Knowledge in the Maintenance of Pumps, Compressors and other Process Plant Equipment will be of added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Application
- Able to handle challenging tasks/assignments under pressure
- Have a passion for learning and training/teaching
- Dedicated, confident, able to multi-task, independent, creative
- Good communication, interpersonal, presentation & negotiation skills
- Able to work long/ flexible hours when required
