Our client prides itself in being a dealer in a wide range of furniture products for both home and office. 

They are looking to fill the position of a sales supervisor to motivate, supervise and assist the sales team in selling the company’s products and to achieve the set targets.
 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plan and strategies that will guarantee achievement of target.
  • Give assistance and encourage personnel to enhance personal and team target.
  • Endeavor to establish an outstanding working relationship with service providers in designated field.
  • Work together with colleagues from other departments to improve efficiency and overall service delivery.
  • Give prompt reports on crucial issues to direct senior officers, suggest answers where obtainable.
  • Supervise essential key account possibilities, make propositions, give suggestions and designate sales target and job obligations to each sales staff.
  • Recommend hiring additional staff and make required resources available to accomplishing target objectives and goals.
  • Solicit for other job duties needing attention to enhance service and improve customers’ contentment to a reasonable extent.
  • Offer inspiration and training of internal sales personnel on how to attain business sales objective.
  • Assist team managers to intensify sales via training on sales methods.
  • Generate action plans to enhance performance and productive capacity of underperforming staff.
  • Be responsible for organizing marketing plans so as to attain sales target stipulated by the organization.
  • Help keep the team focused and on track by facilitating meetings and forums where performance and objectives of the team can be discussed.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Degree in a Business related course majoring in Sales and Marketing.
  • KSCE grade of B and above.
  • Must have experience working in the furniture industry.
  • Over 3 years working experience in a busy environment as a team leader/supervisor.
  • Excellent communication – interpersonal, organizational, good research skills.
  • Creative
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • An outstanding supervisory experience.
  • Ability to develop talent and coach relentlessly.

They are looking for a Marketing Manager with very good experience in the floriculture industry. 

The Marketing Manager will work with the sales team and other departments to help the company reach its goals and objectives.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Expand and develop marketing platforms for the clients’ products.
  • Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities to promote products presentation, working with the Sales and Post Harvest managers.
  • Negotiate contracts/Prices with customers and to manage proper balanced flower distribution within regions and in consultation with his/her manager.
  • Develop pricing strategies, balancing with farm’s objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of flowers and monitoring market trends.
  • Select flowers and accessories to be displayed during flower shows.
  • Advise on local, national, and international factors affecting the buying and selling of flowers.
  • Consult with customers to gain advice regarding the types of roses expected to be in demand.
  • Monitor market trends and advising the sales and post harvest team.
  • Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost.
  • Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets for flowers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to monitor and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products with industry best practices.
  • Determine and manage the marketing budget and deliver marketing activity within agreed budget.
  • Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
  • Develop demand for the client’s product in the market.
  • Any other duty that may be allocated by the manager from time to time.

Our client – a successful global company group that deals in grain processing technology with more than 30 years local presence in Kenya is seeking to hire Mechanical Technicians to join their team.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical support to clients by participating in workshop fabrication and maintenance of our client’s machinery on site.

Main Responsibilities;-
  • Ability to maintain detailed, accurate records, and prepare necessary reports.
  • Will be involved in Welding, fitting, Lubrication and Drilling
  • Basic machine trouble shooting skills
  • Performs preventive / predictive maintenance procedures.
  • Will be involved in fabrication at our workshop.
  • Compiling of reports for various projects through coordination with the Technical Service Manager and the Project Manager.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Technical / Project Manager.
Qualifications
  • A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering production option.
  • Must have technical and design background.
  • Must have 2 to 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry grain handling sector.
  • Well-developed technical communication skills, as well as strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conversant with maintenance and installation of color sorters, dryers, blowers, conveyers and Elevators.
  • Conversant with Welding, fitting, Lubrication and Drilling
  • Basic machine trouble shooting skills
  • Good Knowledge in reading and Interpretation of Drawings.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry

M-Lab Field Coordinator – Agriculture
 
About the M- Lab: The Lab is our think-and-do tank. A space to micro-simulate projects, extract data, evaluate projects and conduct surveys. 

Simply, this is where we test systems and behaviors that cannot be implemented without being examined in detail. 

We have conducted extensive surveys on user experiences using mobile payment systems for health in many different settings, we have carried out surveys on the effects on donor incentives on health care access and health insurance. 


The Lab designs tests, trains participants and conducts quantitative and qualitative data collection. 

Currently we have around 20 different tests ideas for a number of different partners.
We would like to apply the use of the mobile wallet technology on other sectors such as agriculture and education.
 
For this reason we are currently looking for a highly motivated and pro-active individual with a background in the agricultural sector.
 
M- Lab Field Coordinator Job Purpose: Reporting to the Lab Manager and Team Leader, the Lab Field Coordinator is responsible for the formulation and implementation of Lab Tests in the agricultural sector.
 
M- Lab Field Coordinator Job Duties:
  • Conceptualize new test models of how the mobile wallet can be of use in the agriculture value chain. Can mobile wallet technology be used to connect buyers and sellers or donors and beneficiaries along the agricultural value chain?
  • Approach actors in the value chain and market proposed models
  • Recruitment and training actors in the value chain, field agents and any other identified stakeholder so as to implement the proposed model.
  • Work with management in determining research budgets and schedules.
  • Support with the development of research and data-collection instruments and carry out pilots.
  • Receive, resolve and/or revert complaints from the various actors to the Lab Manager and Team Leader.
  • Pro-actively detect problems and opportunities and find solutions to different issues related to the lab projects and maintain documentation for reference purposes. In addition, track test progress and correct any deviations and delays. 
  • Identify foreign partners who Dodore can engage with so as to scale up the projects.
  • Internally test mobile technology and mobile payment systems and identify potential problems for end users of these systems.
  • Writing of concept notes and reports.
  • Make logistic arrangements in carrying out of internal and external Lab meetings and actively participate in these meetings.
  • Assist in other tasks that may be assigned by the M- Lab Manager or Team Leader.
Requirements:
  • Recently obtained or about to complete a Master’s degree in an agriculture related subject or rural development
  • At least one year of demonstrated experience in designing, and implementing research projects, preferably agricultural related projects.
  • Proven experience in supervising teams on the ground, both motivating and mentoring as well as monitoring.
  • Proven experience in writing of concepts and reports.
  • Ability to carry out data entry and analysis using SPSS and excel will be an added advantage.
  • Pro-active attitude and be able to think outside of the box.
  • Willingness to work in informal settlements and occasional travel to (rural)Areas in other parts of the country.
  • Kenyan Nationals only.
Gross Salary: 50,000- 70,000 Ksh/month 
 
This gross salary is dependent on one’s level of expertise. 
 
The gross salary is subject to statutory deductions i.e. PAYE, NSSF, NHIF)
