Truck Driver

The Officer at this level will report to the Officer In charge of Transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical, tire pressure and brake systems;
  • Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of the vehicle systems;
  • Effective usage and good care of the fuel card;
  • Maintaining the work tickets for vehicles assigned;
  • Driving the vehicle as authorized;
  • Taking initiative for safety of the vehicle and safety of passengers and/or goods therein;
  • Maintaining vehicle and ensuring that it is in clean condition;
  • Monitoring deadlines for vehicle insurance;
  • Reporting of accidents and theft cases promptly; and
  • Verifying and monitoring repair works.
Requirements:-
  • Served in the grade of  Driver or in comparable and relevant position in public Service/Private Sector for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean Grade D (Plus) or its equivalent from a recognized  institution
  • Current driving license free from current endorsements.
  • Passed suitability test for drivers;
  • Five (5) years previous satisfactory driving experience after obtaining the driving license.
  • Accident free records within the last four (4) years;
  • Demonstrate high level of discipline and have an accident free record within the last four (4) years;
  • First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Red Cross will have an added advantage.

About Action Africa Help International: Action Africa Help International (AAH-I) is an African-led, regional organisation, working in Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Uganda, and Zambia. 

It brings over 25 years’ experience working with communities in conflict and post-conflict situations, including refugees, internally displaced people, host communities and communities in urban slums.


AAH-I is looking for a suitable candidate who will lead the strategy and team in Somalia to contribute to AAH-I’s Mission and Vision. 

S/he will ensure that funds are raised to deliver this vision and that work is implemented to the quality and other standards as set out in AAH-I’s policies and procedures. 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
 
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
  • A Master’s degree in the social sciences with significant experience in either humanitarian relief, public health or development projects management;
  • Proven track record of leadership, with at least 8 years progressive senior management experience
  • Proven track record of resource mobilization, supervising complex programmes funded by major multilateral or bilateral donor agencies;
  • Demonstrated field leadership in strategic program and project development, implementation, and evaluation;
  • Excellent diplomatic skills and ability to create positive relations with senior government officials, heads of diplomatic missions, international organisations, NGOs and CBOs to enhance AAH-I’s programmes;
  • Experience with financial management and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Entrepreneurial orientation, self-starter able to work independently and cope with demanding work situations in complex setting.

Our client, a marketing solutions company, is looking to fill the above position within its company.

The position reports to the Account Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Day to day management of business accounts.
  • Ensure assigned project teams are well informed on overall brand campaigns presented and approved by client prior to implementation.
  • Generate, monitor and manage project Gantt charts.
  • Oversee the implementation of campaigns against specific KPIs and deliverables.
  • Collect weekly reports from Senior Project Managers, ensure good reporting quality (content, data and overall presentation) and submit to client.
  • Evaluate campaign progress via regular SWOT analysis and share insights with clients.
  • Ensure company receives project evaluation from clients after the completion of each campaign.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Deliver billing targets from assigned accounts and develop new opportunities that translate into new business (Account Manager is assigned an annual billing target within their account management portfolio).
Eligibility:
  • Professional business management training
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in brand / marketing
  • Must have good proposal writing skills
  • Proficient communicator at all levels, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage different projects at the same time
