Sales and Marketing Manager
Summary:

Our client is a lead manufacturer and marketer in the highly competitive nutritional foods segment of the FMCG sector.  
The company products are manufactured to international standards and are distributed throughout the East Africa region and beyond. 
Since its inception over ten years ago, the company has made great strides towards the attainment of operational excellence; this has included the implementation of a robust ERP system, upgrading of manufacturing equipment and the implementation of internal quality management standards. 
We are now seeking to hire a Sales & Marketing Manager.

Reporting to the Managing Director; the Sales & Marketing Manager will design, implement and coordinate all aspects of the Sales & Marketing activities of the Company to maximize revenues through development of plans and strategies with regards to sales processes, sales quota, sales commissions, new business opportunities and the maintenance of customer satisfaction.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate all sales activities to maximize sales revenues to meet sales objectives.
  • Develop annual forecast, quarterly and monthly revenue streams
  • Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products/services
  • Establish and manage effective short and long term programs to address the following issues:
  1. Product margins
  2. Sales of emerging products/services
  3. New markets
  4. Pro-active competitive strategies and targeted sales and distribution
  5. Management of sales department expenses
  6. Business/financial issues on contracts
  7. Manage relations with the distributors and all key accounts
  • Evaluate, recruit and manage all contracted marketing agencies
  • Actively build brand and corporate image through proactive promotions and activities to ensure the company maintains market leadership.
  • Monitor and manage Market intelligence gathered from the market and advise accordingly
  • Plans and oversees the company’s advertising and promotional activities in both print and electronic media  and manage all campaigns
  • Manage the Quality & Food Safety through high hygiene levels being maintained in outlets
  • Management of Stock at the outlets to ensure maximize market returns
Requirements:
  • University professional degree in Commerce or other relevant field Marketing Diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position preferably in a commercial organization preferably FMCG.

  • Strong Brand and Corporate image
  • Ability to develop effective implementation of Marketing plans

Duties

Executive Legal Assistant

This position will be the Personal Assistant to the Executive Director, performing a wide range of administrative, legal, office support and board related duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all board documents/files and take and prepare minutes during board meetings.

Based in Kisumu and reporting to the Regional Manager-Western, this position will provide professional support and assistance to the Regional Manager by coordinating day to day office activities with members of the Western Kenya Region to facilitate the efficient operation of the regional office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general administrative and secretarial duties.
  • Handle requests for information and data and resolve administrative problems and inquiries.
  • Prepare written responses to routine enquiries.

  • Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings including recording and distributing minutes.
Minimum requirements:
  • KCSE mean grade C, and a Diploma in Business Management and Secretarial studies.

  • Knowledge of operating of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management.
