Human Resources Manager

Reports To: The Director

Our client is in the horticulture industry with an average of 500 employees.

Role Objective

To assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct a human capital audit on entry.
  • Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place
  • Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluations
  • Conduct training needs analysis, and organize staff training sessions, workshops and activities
  • Provide basic counseling to staff who have performance related obstacles
  • Leave administration and monitor daily attendance.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining personnel activities
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel activities
  • Develop and maintain the HR manual
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefit and procedures to employee or job applicants.
  • Process and view employment applicants to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants
  • Process, verify, record and attend to personnel related grievance, performance evaluations, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Identify staff vacancies and plan for the recruitment and execute once approval is given
  • Arrange and attend departmental meetings in liaison with the Head of departments
  • Provide advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions
  • Prepare, develop and implement procedures and policies on staff recruitment.
  • Handle employees’ grievances and complaints
  • Provide feedback to the management on how to enhance a better and cordial working environment
  • Maintain employee files and the HR filing system
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives
  • Advice on the work activities of staff relating to employment compensation and labour laws.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by advising on queries and making a report of them, interpreting and administering Human Resources related contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
  • Provide advice to the management on how to enhance a better and cordial working environment and adherence to the HR policies and procedures
  • Ensure that HR policies and procedures are adhered to and conduct staff orientation

Role/Objective Summary

Responsible for the continuous attainment of the company’s revenue target in the assigned region through constantly identifying and securing new clients as well as maximizing sales from the current clients

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Achieve set sales target from the assigned region continuously.
  • Preparation of weekly sales activities and route plans and presenting them to the Sales manager
  • Research, Identify and secure new clients or marketing opportunities from the assigned region.
  • Cold calling to arrange for meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
  • Creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process that is largely dictated by the prospective customer
  • Maintain all clients through proactive communication with the client and ensuring that all queries, complains are promptly attended to.
  • Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential customers
  • Ensuring Accounts are paid or settled on time and in full by the existing customers
  • Following up on client orders
  • Analyzing the market environment i.e. analyzing other competitor’s prices, the amount of demand and supply in the market.
  • Giving feedback to the management and advising accordingly.

  • Diploma in sales & marketing
  • 3-4 years experience in sales 1 of which should be in the hospitality industry
  • Those with a background in food & beverage will have an added advantage
