Internal Auditor

We are seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated individual to the position of Internal
Auditor. 
Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Auditor will be expected to deliver on operational and technical requirements in accordance with our quality standards while guaranteeing that we are true to our vision of being the Media of Africa for Africa.
 
Key responsibilities
  • Planning of audit assignments i.e. information gathering, risk analysis, internal controls review, determining scope and objectives, audit strategy and approach
  • Carry out financial, operational, administrative and information system audits
  • Carry out special audits and investigations
  • Review management accounts and generate regular exceptional analysis reports
  • Review economy and efficiency in use of company resources
  • Preparation of assignment reports and regular follow up of recommendations.
Qualifications, experience and skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from a recognized institution
  • CPA/ACCA finalist or holder of equivalent qualification
  • CISA and/or CIA qualification is desirable
  • Knowledge in the use of electronic audit file management system and CAATs (Computer Aided Audit Techniques) will be an added advantage
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant working experience in a reputable organization or audit firm
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Duties and Responsibilities of the County Services Board
 
The duties and responsibilities of the county services board include the following:
  • Establish and abolish offices in the county public service
  • Appoint persons to hold or act in the County Public Service including in the board of urban areas within the county and to confirm appointments.
  • Exercise disciplinary control over and remove, persons holding or acting in those offices as provided for under the law
  • Prepare regular reports for submission to the county assembly on the executions of the function of the board.
  • Promote in the county public service the values and principles referred to in articles 10 and 232 of the constitution of Kenya 201 0 are compiled with the public service.
  • Evaluate and report to the county assembly on the extent to which the values and principles referred to in articles 10 and 232 of the constitution of Kenya 2010 are compiled with the public service.
  • Facilitate the development of coherent, integrated human resource planning and budgeting for personnel emoluments in the county
  • Advice the county government on human resource management and development
  • Advice the county government on the implementation and monitoring of the national performance management system in county
  • Make recommendations to the Salaries and Remuneration Commission, on behalf of the county government, on the remuneration, pension and gratuities for county public service employees.

Description of your Role
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the business unit.

  • Assist in the analytical and research efforts including unearthing and compiling proprietary data sets

  • Conduct web and literary research and analyze research findings,

Qualifications for the Role
  • Degree in computer science, information technology or engineering
