Our client seeks a Store Manager to oversee and ensure smooth running of stores operations and ensure stocks are accounted for.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising receipt of inputs from  suppliers and documentation of the same via goods received notes stocks cards e.t.c
  • Ensuring that stock cards have been verified and are correct.
  • Overseeing the reconciliation of stocks on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Overseeing on stocks movements and levels in the stores and advising the management accordingly.
  • Organization of the stores so as to ensure maximum utilization of space.
  • Ensuring stocks are available and informing production manager of any issues.
  • Supervision of all the personnel in the department and assigning duties
Qualifications/experience
  • Stores/Inventory management course
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position in a busy organization
  • Must have good knowledge of arithmetic, keen observation of operations to avoid theft and good management and organization skills.
  • Reliable and trustworthy with good personal attribute

Accountant

Key Responsibilities
  • Monthly accounts reconciliations with liaison to accounts receivable and follow up
  • Timely processing of payments;
  • Prepare batches of invoices for data entry into the system.
  • Review, check all invoices and ensure receipt of goods/services is acknowledged by the user departments before invoice processing.
  • Timely and accurate receipting of cash and cheques from clients;
  • Remittance of all statutory deductions
  • Analyzing and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Reconciliation of daily collections and ensuring revenue completeness;
  • Prompt and accurate updating of customers’ accounts and issuing of monthly statements;
  • Daily banking of collections in line with company policies.
  • Undertake other tasks as may be delegated by management.
Key Qualifications
  • A degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting or related field
  • CPA Part 2, with 2-3 years working experience in a busy finance and accounting department
  • Credit management is an added advantage
  • Analytical thinking with good business and commercial awareness
  • Quality orientated with high attention to detail and accuracy, strong analysis, judgment and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines capable of working independently
  • Very strong service orientation, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and results oriented, with unquestionable integrity and a high regard for confidentiality
  • A high degree of computer literacy, with working knowledge of an integrated financial account system and proficient in the use of MS Office packages.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Mombasa,Mary Mother of Africa Pastoral Centre, which is the Resource Centre for the promotion and realization of the Pastoral vision of the archdiocese, through social and spiritual growth seminars, conferences and retreats, wishes to recruit a highly competent, proactive and result-oriented individual to fill the position of a Cateress / Housekeeper Supervisor.

Reporting line: Reports to the Manager

Job Purpose: Management of Catering and housekeeping services

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Overall supervision of catering and housekeeping services in the Kitchens/dinning halls and the hostel(s) respectively.
  • Supervising the work of catering and housekeeping staff including allocation of duties and planning staff shifts and rotas.
  • Efficient control of stock and inventory.
  • Looking into the general welfare of guests and staff
  • Develop marketing plan to promote catering operations to individuals and organizations.
  • Ensuring that health and safety standards are maintained.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Diploma in hospitality management or its equivalent in a recognized institution
  • Have served as a Housekeeper/Cateress in a comparable and relevant position for at least three (3) years,
  • Must be in possession of a certificate of Good Health
  • Be proficient in Computer applications
Personal Traits
  • Is a committed Catholic, with good recommendation from own Parish Priest
  • Is a person of excellent organization and public relations skills
