The person will be responsible for:-

Development and maintenance of high performing team through good leadership so as to achieve efficiency in the branch.

Ensuring that all customer collections are met within the 30 days credit period. This should be done by allocating the portfolios in proportion to the existing credit officers and the external debt collectors.

Generate manual and electronic receipts for all the money collected

Maintenance of accurate, reliable and comprehensive lending records through proper records management to ensure ease of tracking, reference and security

Sustainable growth in accounts of an active clientele base through communication and sales of products and services to enable the branch perform to its expectations.

Maintenance and growth of a healthy credit portfolio through prudent credit administration, management and compliance with policies, procedures and best practice.

Preparation and presentation of comprehensive, timely & reliable reports to provide information, aid in decision making and gauge performance of both the officer and the branch

Preparation and maintenance of records and valuables by ensuring that all the documents are filed and kept in a systematic manner for easier tracking & retrieval.

Develop marketing and work plan for the establishment of solid clientele base.

Follow up to recover external arrears.

Identify and sensitize the potential clients in the respective are of operation.

Qualifications:

Candidate must possess:-
  • Bachelors’ degree in Business related field.
  • Be a holder of at least a diploma in co-operative management or Credit Management its equivalent.
  • Have at least 2 years experience

Required skillsets:
  • Bachelor's degree Education, Instructional Design, Communications, IT or related field. A solid understanding of Web technologies is preferred.
  • Have good knowledge of Instructional Design and Story boarding. This includes ability to:
  1. Research, analyze, design, develop and customize instructional materials.
  2. Work with different types of input material to create instructional content.
  3. Apply various Instructional strategies, models and theories to content.
  4. Use templates in developing instructional materials.
  5. Visualize.
  6. Have knowledge of industry standards, such as AICC, SCORM.
  • Multi-faceted production experience in a distance education, or training environment, including experience in designing and developing courses using HTML, Flash, Articulate and Adobe eLearning Suite.
  • Familiarity with multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly Moodle & eFront.
  • Demonstrated experience working with subject matter experts and adult learners to develop content.
  • Be able to work with Account Managers and/or Marketing team to analyze project requirement with the clients and suggest solutions.
  • Be proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrate effective spoken and written English and excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide instructional design feedback on online modules which are being developed by vendors or volunteers in order to create compelling online learning experiences (this entails using adult learning techniques).
  • Monitor courses currently available through OIS's online platform to collect feedback and refine material and approaches if necessary.
The successful candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently within a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.

This candidate should also possess strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.

Job Purpose:
 
The Accountant will be responsible of the day to day management of administration, finance, logistics and all aspects of statutory compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management and project’s financial reports
  • Review and make recommendations for revision of the finance policy manual
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Assets Register
  • Prepare accurate project and institutional budgets
  • Maintain the office files and relevant documents including the filing of documents, physically and electronically
  • Administration of core payroll services including processing monthly payroll and statutory and internal deductions, maintaining payroll records, issuing monthly pay slips
  • Management of petty cash
  • Ensure compliance with all the organization’s and partners/donors policies and procedures for financial and asset management
  • Perform other logistical and administrative tasks within the organization’s scope of activities, as instructed by management
  • Represent ACDM at appropriate meetings
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with all key stakeholders including government agencies, donors, bankers, among others
Job Specification:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences preferably with an Accounting Training
  • Minimum of two years experience of working in a Finance Department
  • Experience in Office administration and/or management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial systems on a significant scale in development context
  • Knowledge of computerised accounting
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with staff, partners, donors and other relevant stakeholders.
