Job Objective:

As a sales executive, your role is to sell as many of the company's goods as possible:

Responsibilites:
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails.
  • Visiting potential customers for new business.
  • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations.
  • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales.
  • Gathering market and customer information and providing feedback on future buying trends.
  • Representing your organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
  • Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with your company's managers.
  • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
  • Liaising with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders.
  • Checking quantities of goods on display and in stock.
  • You may also be involved with identifying new markets and business opportunities.
  • Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office.
  • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
Job Specifications:
  • 2 years of experience in FMCG sales management.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Relationship Management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

Sales and Marketing Manager

Dynamic People Consulting is recruiting a Sales and Marketing Manager for one of its clients, a leading professional interior design consultancy in East Africa. 
The overall role of the incumbent will be to ensure proper identification, qualification and timely response to sales leads and to prepare pitches of services offered to new clients.

The Business Development Manager will specifically be responsible for the following:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for the company;
  • Establish sales targets and define the strategy to achieve these targets;
  • Manage the proposal development process and maintain time-lines;
  • Initiate marketing strategies and coordinate actions to influence the market;
  • Follow-up new business opportunities and set-up discovery meetings to understand client requirements and project needs;
  • Disseminate clients project requirements to project team for preparation of fee and scope proposals;
  • Conduct on-site visits to scope the work;
  • Conduct prospective clients’ risk-analysis;
  • Oversee the development of relevant templates such as project needs analysis, Service Level Agreements and other relevant documentation;
  • Facilitate and Coordinate with the in-house team and any consultants on any feasibility study components of proposals;
  • Ensure new opportunities are converted business rate.     
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Construction, Project Management or Commercial and Business Administration;
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in Interior design, construction project management or a Commercial/ Marketing role;
  • Strong customer account focus;
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills;
  • Ability to implement and deliver short, medium and long strategies;
  • Posses a “can do” attitude with a desire to make things happen at a very fast pace;
  • Ability to interact with client representatives at all levels;
  • High level of initiative and creativity.
