Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer – Steel Division
 
Job Purpose: the job holder will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to exploit business opportunities in the Steel Industry
 
Main Responsibilities
  • Planning, implementing and coordinating of sales activities
  • Undertake  business analysis and scenario planning for new business opportunities
  • Monitor and advise of significant developments in the competitive business climate, government and legislative activities that may impact the business
  • Undertaking business development researches that include specifying marketing segments , monitoring competition activities and SWOT Analysis
  • Develop strong partnership with distributors and key customers and initiate joint marketing opportunities
Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • A Business related degree with a bias in Marketing
  • Ten years relevant experience with an established track record of Sales ; preferably in the Steel Industry .
  • Experience of selling to Companies at Director level in the Upper and Middle Income Markets

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead in the development of technical designs
  • Supervision of implementation of contracts for boreholes, piped water systems, dams and water pans, irrigation systems, sanitation facilities and solid waste disposal systems
  • Design water treatment plants, pump systems and stations and pipelines for collecting waste water.
  • Creating water-based schemes such as flood defense structures
  • Designing sewer improvement programs
Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • A Diploma /Degree in Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent with strong bias to water and environmental engineering
  • Registered with the Engineers registration Board or Corporate Member of IEK or equivalent
  • At least three years hands on experience in design and implementation of water supply schemes and sanitation facilities, preferably in a busy institution involved in consultancies, capacity building and training
  • Computer literacy particularly in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Power point, and SPSS
