Senior Manager - Enterprise Wholesale Services

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Sales and Retention, the job holder will manage wholesale capacity sales and International Data/IP Services in order to generate revenues and provide high quality services in line with enterprise sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the relationships with upstream providers for capacity, international Data/IP meets the needs of the business and evolves as per the strategic direction of the business;
  • Manage wholesale capacity customers to ensure retention both at regional and international level;
  • Play a lead role in influencing key stake holder decisions in the ICT space and beyond including local government and regional governments’ forums;
  • Manage the sale of Wholesale capacity and generate revenues as per Revenue Targets;
  • Facilitate the utilization of national fiber and submarine cable capacity and identify partners and carriers to lease/sell spare capacity and generate revenues;
  • Manage and ensure settlement for International Capacity and connectivity for Data and IP Services International;
  • Manage and ensure the national and international wholesale capacity customer are invoiced and settle their payments in time;
  • Manage and ensure that the wholesale baseline revenues are maintained mitigating any possible churn;
  • Manage the performance of staff in the Wholesale Service Section.
Minimum Requirements
  • A recognized University Degree in Bachelor of Science or Business related field; Masters of Business Administration degree is an added advantage;
  • Experience and technical skills in telecommunications industry and sound knowledge of International Telecommunications Services;
  • At least 7 -8 years work experience in the telecommunications sector which must include establishing and managing international carrier relations and interconnection arrangements;
  • Experience in project management is an added advantage;
  • Supervisory and people management skills and team leadership;
  • Experience in hands on sales as well as sales management and ability to close complex and turnkey deals;
  • Demonstrable ability to negotiate complex business deals successfully will be an added advantage;
  • Have a self drive for achieving high results, proactive, innovative and entrepreneurial qualities.

FUNZOKenya Scholarship Program 2012-2013

The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Medical Services and the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation have designed a scholarship program for health workers in Kenya. 
The pre-service and in-service scholarships are supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded FUNZOKenya Project and targets bright and needy students who are committed to becoming health workers and in-service health workers who would like to further their studies.
 
The scholarships will enhance the country’s ability to meet the overall demand for more health workers and ensure that health workers are routinely updated with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the governments overall objective of delivering primary health care needed to improve health outcomes of the Kenyan people towards Vision 2030.
 
Applications are invited from eligible Kenyans for the 2012/2013 admissions in health programmes that are accredited by the Government of Kenya. Priority will be given to students studying or seeking to study in cadres with critical shortages in the health care sector as well as students from remote, resource poor and marginalized communities. 
The courses and cadres of study (Pre- Service and In-Service) for which the scholarship program will finance are certificates and diplomas in Nursing, Clinical Medicine, Laboratory Technology, Nutrition, Health Records Management and Information Technology, Public Health, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology, Radiography and ICT in Health.
 
Female students are encouraged to apply.

How to apply

1. Applicants should access and fill the 201212013 FUNZOKenya Application Form from the HELB website www.helb.co.ke
 
2. Then print the form and have it signed and stamped by the relevant officials and authorities.
 
3. Sign the form, certify and attach all the necessary documents, as indicated on the checklist on the last page of the Scholarship Application Form.
 
4. Scan the duly completed application form and all the required documents and email them to funzokenya@helb.co.ke or hand deliver it at the Higher Education Loans Board Offices located at Anniversary Towers, 18th Floor, University Way Nairobi.
 
5. The Board will use the email and telephone contacts provided on the application form for communication on the progress of your application.

Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain accurate records of all stock items through the stock cards for each bin by keying in all issues and receipts on a daily basis.
  • Maintain clean and orderly shelves with stock items clearly labeled  with correct codes and item descriptions at all times
  • Ensure prompt issuance of goods upon authorized request by the HOD or his or her representative, through the Internal Stores Requisition Form (ISR) to the user department in the agreed times.
  • Assist in the  receiving ,inspection and dispatching of consignments to various parts of the world
  • Reviews stock records & recommends or initiates ordering of supplies to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Participate in counting store physical inventory
  • React to all business requirements quickly and with a sense of importance
  • Any other duties, which might be required by the   management by virtue of your position.
Desired Competencies/qualifications:
  • Ability to exercise extreme accuracy in the maintenance of records
  • Must have ability to perform physical labor in moving stocks & maintaining area in a clean and orderly condition
  • Certificate in Purchasing & Supplies Management
  • Computer literate
  • 2 year experience in Supplies Management
  • Age-25-35 years  old
