Reporting to the General Manager - Internal Controls, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
  • Process & enterprise risk management : perform process interview and validation, validate IT related activities and document validation and action plans

  • Information systems audit: Monthly audit of master files, review audit trails and all IT audits

Parts Sales Executive
 
Reporting to the Retail Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
  • In consultation with the Retail Operations Manager, develop and implement Parts Marketing Programs
  • Achieve parts sales targets and put in place action plans to assure attainment
  • Developing good rapport with dealers, fleet and retail customers and ensuring any issues affecting parts sales are resolved promptly
  • Assisting on market surveys through parts counter and key customers to ensure ordering, pricing and old parts liquidation strategies are based on reliable market information
  • Ensuring compliance of parts sales to internal controls
  • Attaining set target in customer satisfaction index (CSI)
  • Providing market information to aid in pricing
  • Issuance of quotations on a timely basis

Head Information Communication Technology
 
Head ICT reports to General Manager Finance and Administration. He/She is expected to provide leadership in ICT, and ensure efficient and effective ICT operations in the Corporation.
 
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing leadership in all aspects of ICT strategy, management and operations;

Key Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or Information Systems from a recognized University. Master’s Degree in any of these disciplines is an added advantage.
  • Ten years working experience in a relevant ICT environment and at least 5 years in management.
  • IT Management Certification in hardware or software (MCSE, MCSD, MCCP, ITIL, Prince, PMP and/or, CISA) from a recognized body; and
  • Proficiency in computing technology, programming, and practical knowledge of Oracle and SQL databases.
  • Membership to relevant ICT professional bodies;

The Job
 
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager - Kenya, the successful candidate will work as an integral part of the Finlays global Internal Audit and Risk Management team to deliver a high level of corporate compliance to Finlays Group and other applicable standards. 
The key responsibilities for this position include:
  • Undertaking the Risk Assessment Process;
  • Assisting with the consolidation of the Internal audit plan and budget;
  • Maintaining cordial and professional relationships and communication with all stakeholders;
  • Executing all audits in line with the approved audit methodology and plan;
  • Attending all audit supervisory committee meetings including being the Secretary to the meetings;
  • Preparing monthly group internal audit reports in line with the agreed format and structure;

The person 
The ideal candidate must possess the qualifications / competencies outlined below.
  • A graduate with bachelor’s degree from a recognized university backed by relevant professional qualifications with CIA and CISA being the most desirable.
  • At least 5 years experience in Internal Audit / Consulting with a reputable audit organization. 
  • Experience in systems audits will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and interpersonal skills and a can - do attitude.
  • Meticulous in approach with data analysis skills using such software as IDEA, ACL etc.
  • Results driven with excellent planning and organizing skills underpinned by well developed team working skills and judgment.

Recruitment of a Consultant to Manage ICT Strategy Implementation
 
Background
 
The Teachers Service Commission, in line with its Corporate Strategic plan, has developed and adopted an ICT strategy which sets out immediate, medium and long-term ICT plans.
 
The strategy seeks, in part, to harmonize and integrate existing information systems and align to future initiatives as part of an overall project to mainstream ICT within the Commission.
 
This procurement notice invites suitable consultants/firm of consultants to apply for the assignment to oversee the implementation of the ICT strategy.
 
Assignment tasks
 
The Consultant will undertake the following tasks:
 
(a) Review and update ICT strategy plans and budgets;
 
(b) Develop a resource based implementation programme;
 
(c) Oversee Implementation of various projects identified in the Strategy; and
 
(d) Undertake incidental work that may arise during the assignment tenure.
 
Consultants will be required to estimate duration and consulting fees.
 
Consultant Qualifications and Experience
 
Must have:
 
(a) University degree (preferably at master level) in ICT or equivalent;
 
(b) Specific expertise and demonstrable experience in the areas of ICT strategy development and implementation;
 
(c) Not less than ten years of relevant ICT experience at senior level; and
 
(d) At least undertaken over five ICT Policies and Strategy consulting assignments.
