Electrical Engineer

The focus of this specialized, technically oriented position is on meeting and exceeding high standards of accuracy and quality based on established systems, technologies and guidelines.

Scope of the Job

The holder of this position, who will report to the Maintenance Process Cell Leader, will ensure that production machines and equipment are always maintained in good and safe working condition, and available for production.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support shift technicians to carry out root cause analysis of the breakdown losses using relevant World Class Manufacturing methodology and tools.
  • From the action plans developed, make follow up for implementation and liaise with maintenance planning to update the Planned Maintenance Time Based Maintenance (TB M) schedules.
  • Support in maintenance of common services; compressed air, chill water facility, pallets trucks.
  • Enrich generated electrical TBM or preventive maintenance work orders on machines as per schedule and liaise with relevant technicians to availability of machines for executions.
  • Collect data from Technicians/Operators and actions from the executed tasks for further follow up, with spares or improvement points on the Planned Maintenance tasks.
  • Support various World Class Manufacturing pillars in improvement teams, tag removal activities, training new technicians on in-house work ethics and procedures, and root cause analysis.
Qualification
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, Automation and programming, DC/AC variable speed drives, AutoCAD/electrical package, basic machine logic design, basic hydraulics, basic pneumatics.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in an industrial manufacturing set up.

Job Summary:
 

Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the region.This is not limited to channels but also new markets both in new and current markets.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Export Markets Manager will be responsible for:
  • Achievement of Set Targets for New Channels and New Markets
  • Formulation of sales strategies and implementation of the same through the trade

Essential or minimum requirements
  •     Degree or an advanced diploma in a Business related field
Knowledge and Experience
  • 5 years hands on experience in Direct Selling in a service or FMCG industry with 2 years in a supervisory/management Level
  • Knowledge of the regional market would be a key advantage

FARM- Africa is seeking to recruit a dynamic and suitable individual to fill the position of a Program Accountant

The position will be based in Nairobi and will work closely with the Finance and Administration Manager, the Accountant, the Maendeleo Agricultural Technology Fund (MAEF) Coordinator, the Community Animal Health Network (CAHNET) Coordinator and the Programmes Operations Manager.
 
The role will be responsible for ensuring high standards of financial management within FARM-Africa Kenya with particular responsibility for office finances and regional projects managed from the Nairobi office.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • To maintain accurate payroll data and prepare the monthly payroll for the FARM-Africa Kenya Country office as per FARM- Africa policies and government regulations;
  • To maintain financial records for MAEF, CAHNET and other regional projects;
  • Prepare budgets and donor reports together with the MAEF and CAHNET Coordinators and field-based managers; and
  • Support the Finance and Administration Manager in ensuring sound financial management across the country programmes including compliance with FARM-Africa’s finance procedures manual.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Bachelors degree in commerce, business, finance or accounting; or
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA or CPA (K);
  • Experience with donor reporting, project accounting and budgeting is mandatory;
  • Proficiency in SUN V5, Q & A and/or Quickbooks; and
  • Good communication, interpersonal and team playing skills are essential.
