Job Title: Assistant Engineer


One Position


Location: The Company's Headquarters - Nairobi


Job Summary


Reporting to the Head of Engineering


Key duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:


    Provide leadership and support in technical and non-technical matters with regards to design and implementation of projects at sites and within the factory.
    Supervision of implementation of projects from construction phase to commissioning.
    Attend site meetings and inspections prior and during installation of water and/or wastewater treatment systems
    Read and review technical submissions
    Present technical data to technical and non-technical members of the company
    Assist in the design of water and wastewater treatment systems
    Liaising with various bodies and individuals, including local authorities, government agencies, clients, contractors, residents, and other consultants at various stages of the project
    Keeping up to date with environmental matters, and being aware of policy and developments in the water/wastewater sector
    Any other duties assigned by management


Job Context


The job involves extensive travel and stay (75% of the time) out of Kenya.


The normal working week run from Monday to Friday for a period of 40 working hours, however, this may be extended as exigencies of duty may dictate.


Requirements


The minimum requirements for this position include:


    BSc. In a civil, water, environmental and/or mechanical engineering
    Familiarity with pumping systems, controls, and process design,
    Experience in the water, sewage, environmental, sanitation field will be an added advantage
    Computer literacy particularly in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, and Power point,
    Excellent inter-personal, facilitation and communication skills;
    Creative and results oriented able to work with minimum supervision,
    Valid Kenyan driving license and driving experience

Job Objective:


As a Sales Associates you will play an important role in the success of the The Company.


Regardless of the type of product you sell, your primary duties are to interest buyers and purchasing agents in the The Company’s products, solutions, or services and to address clients’ interests, questions and concerns.


As a Sales Associate you will demonstrate our products and advise clients on how by using these products we can provide solutions for their problems or ambitions.


As a Sales Associate you will spend much of your time traveling to and visiting with prospective buyers and current clients.


The ultimate goal, that you will be judge by, is to provide The Company’s with increased sales productivity, and most importantly increase in revenue.


Responsibilities:


    Responsible for the sales of The Company’s products, solutions & services, from lead generation through to close in an assigned territory or market.
    Work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
    Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas that allows you as a Sales Associate to give effective presentation of The Company’s products, solutions & services.
    Develop quarterly & annual business plan, in conjunction with the Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus you as a Sales Associate on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
    Develop quarterly & annual business plan, in conjunction with the Sales Manager, which details activities to in which to develop Sales Associate’s assigned territory or target market.
    Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
    Demonstrate the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision makers.

    Sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
    Develop databases of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on potential businesses, direct mail, email, and networking. This to be monitored through proficient use of a CRM software programme.
    Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
    Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
    Responsible for identifying and building effective Centre’s of Influence& Networks with key market professionals to maximize sales potential &revenue.
    Demonstrate the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
    Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory, including the use of CRM software to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential.
    Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
    Participate and contributes to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects and company employees.

Job Specifications:


    3-5 years of experience in sales within commission incentive structure.
    Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
    Willingness to travel and work out of the office.
    Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
    Must have interest in growing with the company.
    Should be highly motivated and aggressive sales person.
    Should be presentable & well kept at all times.
