Safaricom - Senior Service Activation Engineer Job in Kenya

In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

Senior Service Activation Engineer 

Ref: ESBU-SSAE -2012

Reporting to the Senior Manager-Business Solutions, the job holder will be responsible for enterprise customer service(s) planning and activation activities on Safaricom core and edge network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate and track all service activation requests;
  • Receive and action all service activation requests from Project managers;
  • Liaise with infrastructure partners to ensure speedy and quality mapping of third-party links and /or services;
  • Plan and issue of IP addresses required for service integration;
  • Add necessary routes on edge/access network for services activation;
  • Provide customer solution documentation depicting current situation before deployment and after deployment;
  • Train & develop the service activation team members
  • Continuously work with other teams to streamline internal process to improve service delivery;
  • Capture and add accurate customer details in all support systems.
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in an Engineering related discipline;
  • Accreditation in routing & switching;
  • 2-3 years Experience in planning, deployment and operation of an enterprise or service provider network;
  • Sound IP routing and switching skills (Specifically on Cisco MPLS);
  • Sound MPLS core routing and deployment skills;
  • Datacenter and cloud computing skills;
  • Unified communications / collaboration expertise;
  • Strong relationship and project management skills;
  • Attention to detail
  • Sound product knowledge of the business’ existing product portfolio.

The Orphaned and Separated Children’s Assessments Related (OSCAR) - Clinical Psychologist

The Orphaned and Separated Children’s Assessments Related (OSCAR) to their Health and Well-Being Project is a 5 year cohort study examining the influence of care environment on the health and well-being of orphaned and separated children in greater Uasin Gishu region.

Applications are invited from qualified candidates for the following vacant position.

Position: Clinical Psychologist

1 Post

Role: Be responsible for conducting psychosocial assessments and delivering interventions for the project. These shall include standardized assessments of children’s psychosocial health and family history, and providing referrals and support as required.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting to Principal Investigators of the OSCAR project at the AMPATH Centre in Eldoret, the successful candidate will implement psychosocial assessments for OSCAR participants at both the MTRH site and in the field.

This will include the following:
  • Carry out psychosocial assessments at the MTRH/field site and any other site as may be directed.
  • Co-ordinate and implement all project-related psychosocial services at MTRH and field sites.
  • Provide referrals for psychiatric and other medical care as appropriate.
  • Promote efficiency and high standards of psychological care.
  • Develop intervention programs and activities that improve psychological care in the respective sites.
  • Manage resources for optimum operations within the sites.
  • Participate in the professional guidance and training of staff to ensure highest standards of healthcare at the sites.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance and Control both in data collection and Good Clinical Practices.
  • Supervision of staff and handling internal clinic processes.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate must posses:-
  • Masters degree in clinical psychology from a recognized university.
  • Have done significant work in paediatrics, psychiatry, and adolescent care in the recent past.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in Kiswahili and English.
  • Demonstrated excellence in psychosocial care.
  • Demonstrated abilities in leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination.
Terms of Employment

The successful candidate will be employed on a 1-year renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and allowances.
