Our Company

SasaHivi Media Ltd ('Sasa Hivi' means in Kiswahili 'right now') was founded in 2003 in Nairobi, Kenya by a group of long time experienced Multimedia, PR and IT professionals.

So, as SasaHivi Media Ltd as a company is relatively young, the experience brought together in it, is very sophisticated.

SasaHivi Media Ltd is all about bringing the best of Technology (Media and Internet) together with the best of Culture (Design, Content creation and Publishing).

Our Products

As SasaHivi Media Ltd has been steadily growing since its existence, so has also the range of products we offer.

We have 3 integrated departments: Technology, Media and Publishing.

The Technology Department deals with Web hosting, Domain names, E-mail Services, SMS Services and Consultancy in Internet related issues, it also serves technical services to the 'Media' Department.

The Media Department deals with Content creation, as well in Still Media: Graphic Design, Photography and Printing - Streaming Media: Video, Audio and Interactive Media: Web sites, Online Applications, Software development, DVD-Roms and CD-Roms. The Media Department further develops Public Relations, Advertisements, Content Branding and does Consultancy for the same.

The Publishing Department is responsible for the production and publishing of SasaHivi Media's own projects and publishes projects in collaboration with other institutions and companies.

Available position:

Marketing / Sales Executive

Primary responsibilities
  • Dealing with the marketing requirements of SasaHivi Media Ltd and it's clients
  • Contributing to and developing marketing plans and strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Implementing the company's marketing plan and executing the delivery of approved strategies.
  • Evaluating customer research, market conditions, competitor data and marketing campaigns.
  • Managing correspondence with media and advertising outlets.
  • Writing and distributing press releases.
  • Managing the production of marketing materials, involving writing and proofreading copy and liaising with designers and printers.
  • Arranging for the effective distribution of marketing materials.
  • Generating of regular marketing and sales reports to the management.
  • Selling the services and products of SasaHivi Media Ltd.
Requirements
  • Education and degree(s) in disciplines related to the primary responsibilities.
  • Experience of working in the field of marketing streaming and interactive media.
  • Creativity in developing workable solutions.
  • Ability to express in good spoken and written English and Kiswahili.
  • Attention to detail, customer-service orientation and creativity in problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a team and to communicate in a clear way.
  • Ability to meet sales targets.

INTERSOS Head of Mission

INTERSOS is an independent non-profit humanitarian organization committed to assist the victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts.

INTERSOS first started to work in Somalia in 1992. It immediately assisted 37,000 refugees that in the previous months had left their land in search of food and a safe living environment.

From that point forth, Intersos has operated in various regions in central-southern Somalia (Bay-Bakol, Ghedo, Lower and Middle Shebelle, Lower Giuba, Benadir) principally with activities focusing on reconstruction or reactivation of health and sanitation structures, locating drinking water, and agricultural development.

INTERSOS has launched a new intervention in response to the emergency situation in the Horn of Africa. The famine has led to a crisis situation as populations flee the worst drought in almost six decades.

NTERSOS, in the framework of its activities in Somalia and Kenya, is currently selecting candidates for the following position.

Job Title: Head of Mission

Duty Station: Nairobi

Starting Date: ASAP

Duration of the Assignment: 2 Years

Role, Task and Responsibilities

The Head of Mission is the organisation’s official representative in the country and is responsible for the planning, management and implementation of the country program on the basis of defined strategies.

He/she Manage and coordinate operations and human resources in the country. Specifically he/she is responsible to:
  • establish and maintain relations with local institutions, donors, NGOs, International Agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor donor intervention strategies and priorities in the country.
  • evaluate, promote and elaborate new projects.
  • define programming and planning of mission activities and check implementation
  • define mission’s economic and financial planning, guaranteeing self-sufficiency and consistency of expenses against budget constraints
Job Requirements
  • At least 3 year experience as Programme Coordinator or Head of Mission, preferably in the region.
  • Good knowledge of the procedure of international donors (mainly UNHCR and UNICEF).
  • Perfect knowledge of spoken and written English is necessary.
  • Proven capabilities of personnel management and financial resources management in multicultural and complex environments.
  • comfortable with computer use.
  • leadership attitude.
  • problem solving and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Availability to move often through the Area of competence.

International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs - Finance Officer

ICAP within the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University is working in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and the Ministry of Medical Services to strengthen HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment services in the country.

This program is funded by PEPFAR. ICAP is currently accepting expressions of interest from candidates for a prospective USAID-funded project.

The Finance Officer will oversee the financial operations of the project and is responsible for financial planning, supervision and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, oversight and advice on all finance matters
  • Establish, manage and regularly review all finance procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance to USAID and ICAP/Columbia University rules and regulations.
  • Develop and monitor annual project budgets and proposal budgets
  • Ensure good cash flow management
  • Supervise and support finance staff
  • Review and monitor expenditure
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to USAID and ICAP/Columbia University
  • Oversee sub agreement management with partners
  • Manage annual financial audits of sub awardees
  • Oversee all project administration including procurement, renovation and logistics
Qualifications and Experience
  • Master’s degree in a financial management, accounting/CPA or equivalent
  • At least 3 years experience in USG funded health project
  • Knowledge of USAID financial management
  • Strong analytical, supervisory and management skills
  • Ability to function in a highly complex environment and work as a member of a collaborative team while exercising independent judgment
  • High level of proficiency in relevant computer applications
