Reporting to the Buyer, the successful candidate will be responsible for effective management of office and property services in the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Writing clear specifications from requests received from the users
  • Posting of Requests for Tender/quotations to prospective bidders
  • Preparing agenda for tender adjudication meetings
  • Identifying the Tender Board/Committee to open the quotations/bids
  • Implementing the recommendations made by the Tender Board/Committee
  • Commercial evaluating of quotations.
  • Raising and dispatching of LPOs and quotations and letters of offer to suppliers
  • Arranging for insurance covers for all new vehicles
  • Keeping records on supplies and orders
  • Processing invoices for payments.
Qualifications /Competencies/ Experience

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies: -
  • Bachelors degree
  • Post graduate diploma in purchasing and supply management
  • Three (3) years working experience
  • High level of integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Reporting to the Risk Assurance and Systems Compliance Manager, the successful candidates will be responsible for planning, coordination and implementation of audits and preparation of audit reports for KTDA group of companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing risk based audit plans for the KTDA group of companies.
  • Supervising audit work during assignments, discussing audit findings and recommending corrective action where necessary.
  • Conducting preliminary reviews prior to external audit
  • Performing post–audit follow up to determine extent of implementation of audit recommendations.
  • Carrying out investigative and adhoc –audit assignments.
  • Assisting the Risk Assurance and Systems Compliance Manager on supervisory and administrative duties.
  • Setting of audit objectives , review and approval of audit programme/plan
  • Obtaining management concerns on various risks
Qualifications /Competencies/ Experience

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications, experience and competencies: -
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant or equivalent. CIA is an added advantage
  • 5 years in internal auditing or in a professional audit firm (2 years at supervisory level)

Human Resources and Administration Assistant

To support its humanitarian operations in Somalia

MSF Switzerland (MSFCH) is a humanitarian medical organization providing emergency medical aid to populations in need.

At present, MSFCH operates in four project locations in Somalia: Belet Weyne, Dinsor, Afgoi and Mogadishu.

Location: Nairobi

Start date: November 2011

Type of contract: 4 months fixed term

Scope of responsibilities:

The role of the HR and Administration Assistant is that of providing support in all administrative issues for international and national staff at Mission/Project level for the MSF CH Somalia Mission managed from Nairobi:
  • Assures a proper salary management with Homere software.
  • Keeps personal files up-to-date at all time.
  • Ensures proper follow-up of HR administration related to National staff in general and to international staff arrivals/departures and stay.
  • Takes responsibility for all correspondence and filing of administrative documentation.
  • Supports and provides assistance to a qualitative recruitment process.
  • Ensure proper storage and archiving of data.
  • Ensure compliance to MSF guidelines, standards, policies and procedures for the mission
Recruitment criteria:
  • Diploma in Business or HR Management.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience with demonstrated skills in HR management.
  • Demonstrated skills in report writing
  • Experience in an NGO will be an added advantage
  • Excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, E-mail and Internet
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English. Knowledge of Somali language is an added advantage.
