Operations Manager

Location: Nairobi

Our client, a leading provider of security solutions, including manned guarding services, security vehicle tracking, and cash in transit among others in East Africa seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of an Operations Manager.

The successful candidate will be charged with the major role of improving the operations systems processes and policies in support of the organization’s mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee overall staff management planning, system and control
  • Improve the efficiency of the operation
  • Improve the operations system processes and policies in support of organizations mission specifically, support better management reporting information flow and management, business process and organization planning.
  • Improve control of service levels and quality
  • Organizing and overseeing effective supervision.
  • Visit accident scene, investigation and compilation of detailed reports
  • Conduct security survey and design appropriate assignment instructions
  • Carry out intelligence threat assessment
  • Client liaison
  • Coordinating with law enforcement agencies in solving crime
Qualifications and Experience
  • University graduate preferably in social science
  • Diploma in security management will be an added advantage
  • Have good communication and report writing skills
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects and initiatives
  • Security background preferably in the disciplined forces at a senior position
  • Ability to motivate and work for long hours
  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional and ethical standards and diverse workplace

  • Attending to all administrative functions in the CEO’s office
  • Preparing and planning for the CEO’s work schedules

Position: Hotel Manager

Job Objective/Summary

To ensure that all the policies and procedures of the company are adhered to and ensure the day-to-day operations of the hotel and customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attain set revenue target of the company.
  • Deliver marketing strategies to build, develop and retain a loyal client base.
  • Ensure top of the range customer service is offered to all clients.
  • Manage cost within the budget and also ensure purchase supplies or services from outside vendors, such as laundry, repair, and trash.
  • Manage hotel facilities to ensure Zero pilferages or misuse.
  • Manage and maintain all year or seasonal lodging facilities.
  • Observe and monitor workers' performance to make sure that company rules and procedures are being followed.
  • Confer and cooperate with other department managers to coordinate hotel activities.
  • Ensure 24 hours cleanliness and appearance of the hotel.
  • Coordinate front-office duties and resolve problems.
  • Assign duties to workers and schedule shifts. Coach staff on how to do the job and motivate them to finish projects
  • Answer customers' questions, make them feel at home, and build on-going relationships.
  • Make decisions and develop plans for how to manage hotel.
  • Identify staffs' actions and evaluate whether it meets hotels' standards.
Qualification 
  • A diploma or a degree in Hotel management/ Hospitality management
  • Three years working experience in the same industry.
  • One can work for long hours.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintenance of heavy equipment.

  • Assist the staff technically and train them.
  • Ensure that the technicians carry out the jobs within the allotted time.
  • Ensure the most effective use of available time and equipment.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven record of at least 4 years in supervising maintenance of heavy equipment.

Motor Bike Rider

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and collect items.
  • Maintain the motorbike:-
  1. In a presentable and clean state.
  2. Check engine and gear box oil level as specified.
  3. Verify correctness of all tyres air pressure as specified in manufacturer’s manual and assess tyres, retread, wear, evenness and damage.
  4. Ascertain the serviceability of all lights, horn, brakes, accelerator and ensure the brakes and clutch systems are working properly.
  5. Ensure the number plates are secured properly.
  6. Confirm validity of insurance cover and all traffic requirements.
  7. Ensure compliance to proper traffic rules governing road usage.
  8. Ensure paramount safety of the motorbike.
Requirements
  • Holder of KCE Division IV or KCSE mean grade of D+ (plus).
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in a busy transport setting.
  • A clean riding record.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Reliable with high level of integrity.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of urban set up.
Carmix Operator 

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the proper mix delivery and proper slump of concrete from the mixer truck.
  • Ensuring timely delivery to sites.
  • Inspect the inside of mixer truck drum on a daily basis to ascertain excess buildup and/or worn fins and report any deficiencies to the supervisor.
  • Maintain the mixer truck in a safe operating condition and report any mechanical problems immediately to the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Holder of KCE Division III or KCSE mean grade of C- (minus).
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in driving a mixer truck.
  • A clean driving record.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Reliable with high level of integrity.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
