Position: Consultancy Assistant

Location: Nairobi

Our client, a leading financial services firm specializing in audit, tax, Business Process Outsourcing and Financial Consultancy wishes to recruit a Consultancy Assistant.

The successful candidate will support the Consultancy Business unit in the following key areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports for facilitating buy/sell transactions of businesses for clients,
  • Assisting in the Management of Receivership and Liquidation assignments,
  • Supporting and participating in activities of feasibility studies and preparation of a report to the prospective investors,
  • Assisting in the preparation of projected financial statements for clients who intend to expand and seek financial facilities from banks and other financial institutions.,
  • Assisting with assignments in regard to capital restructuring of companies,
  • To carry out administrative duties for the Consultancy Department as assigned by the Senior Consultancy Assistant.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Procedure Marvels.
  • Assisting in the Valuation of Businesses.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Shareholders Agreements
  • Assisting in the preparation of Business Plans
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/ finance or Business related field
  • CPA (K) an added advantage
  • At least 2 years experience in financial services consulting
  • Strong client facing skills
  • Passion in Financial Services business analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills.

Overall job function 

Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, the Accounting & Procurement Officer will coordinate all accounting, procurement and logistics aspects of the project.

He/ She will have the primary responsibility to ensure the acquisition, supply, delivery, storage and disposal of goods and services in addition to handling all logistics operations at optimum cost-effective levels in an expeditious and efficient manner.

Requirements 
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or any other relevant course
  • Minimum CPA 2 holder is a must
  • Diploma in Purchasing, Supplies Management or Logistics will be an added advantage
  • 5 years experience in accounting, logistics and procurement
  • Good organizational, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems preferably Pastel Evolution
  • Great attention to detail, able to work autonomously and as part of a team, set priorities and clear targets and deliver under pressure and under minimum supervision
  • Experience in the construction industry will be an asset
  • Experience in working in South Sudan will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum age of 30 years

Key Responsibilities 
  • Preparation and coordination of procurement plans
  • Preparation of forecasts for material requirements
  • Negotiate agreements with suppliers
  • Organize and execute all logistical operations
  • Ensure all requests are processed timely and correctly
  • Ensure that all equipment is correctly maintained in conjunction with the relevant maintenance teams
  • Ensure that all accounting for funds disbursed is done as per the company policy.
  • Ensure that invoices, goods received notes and delivery notes are received for all transactions done.

Reporting to the Global Fund Program Manager, the incumbent shall have overall technical responsibility for day to day program management and technical support, provide leadership in quality improvement of Global Fund Round 7 HIV and AIDS CSOs component by ensuring that program quality is embedded in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of CARE’s GF 7 program.

The Program Quality Coordinator (PQC) will support the Program Manager to manage the successful implementation of the GF performance based funding and ensure that all program obligations are realized, accounted for, documented and reported.
