Position: Supply Chain ERP Business Analyst

Description:


The Supply Chain ERP Business Analyst based ¡n Nairobi, Kenya will serve as a team member responsible for strengthening ERP within a medical supplies agency.


The ERP Business Analyst will support the Supply Chain Lead, and the team to successfully execute all activities related to strengthening supply chain tools, business processes and ERP capabilities.


The role will cover all Supply Chain streams such as Procurement, Inventory Management, Warehousing and Distribution; as well as integration with financial modules. This project is fast-paced, dynamic and demanding. Candidates should be able to perform under pressure and be proactive.


Key duties include:
  • Perform process and data analysis to strengthen KEMSA’s ERP and Supply Chain tools
  • Develop detailed documentation of Supply Chain processes, activities, tasks, roles & responsibilities, and requirements
  • Perform ERP/systems gap analysis
  • Support Supply Chain Lead and other supply chain advisors during engagement with stakeholders to strengthen KEMSA’s ERP
  • Develop specifications for ERP optimisation, work closely with developers for system optimisation and facilitate user acceptance testing
  • Develop training material and execute training on ERP, business processes and procedures
Required qualifications include:
  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, with specific subject matter expertise and experience in ERP and Supply Chain system implementations.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing process flow diagrams using tools such as Visio.
  • Development of standard operating procedures and organizational policies and tools
  • Strong experience performing highly complex data analysis related to ERP systems
  • Minimum five years experience and proven track record in ERP implementations and optimisation, preferably with health supply chains
  • Masters degree in related field is required.
  • Candidate must be proactive and be able to seek information, evaluate ERP supply chain systems, provide concise recommendations and implement solutions in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong experience in technical writing and communication is an added advantage.

Senior Program Advisor Career Opportunity - Nairobi, Kenya


Position: Senior Program Advisor

Description:

The Senior Program Advisor based ¡n Nairobi, Kenya will provide support to the Chief of Party in strategic leadership, management and technical expertise to strengthen a medical supply agency.

In addition, with the guidance of the Governance and Organizational Development Advisor, this position will support overall organizational development and the effective implementation of capacity building activities as they relate to the organization as a whole.

This project is fast-paced, dynamic and demanding. Candidates should be able to perform under pressure and be proactive.

Key duties include:
  • Assist the Chief of Party to provide oversight and technical direction to the project to assure a high quality of project interventions and adherence to the work plan and project performance monitoring plan.
  • Support the Chief of Party to supervise and manage the project’s technical advisors including subcontractors to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Support the design, implementation, and monitoring of capacity building events and activities, including workshops, technical assistance, and material and curriculum development for medical supply agency counterparts
  • Support creation, dissemination, maintenance and archiving of technical documents of the program
  • Work closely with medical supply agency counterparts and the Project Team to develop and implement a comprehensive capacity building strategy to address institutional capacity building needs within the medical supply agency.
  • Work with the Governance and OD Advisor concurrently in order to build and execute a change management plan.
  • As directed, create organizational development tools, methods, and resources to support the capacity development effort.
Required qualifications include:
  • Minimum of ten years’ experience and proven track record working in the field of donor-funded health projects, preferably in Kenya.
  • In depth technical knowledge of at least two of the following technical areas: governance, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, organizational development, financial management, supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills with experience supervising senior staff.
  • Experience working with senior levels of government, policy makers, executives and senior managers to achieve established goals and lasting results.
  • Proven ability to mentor, motivate and work as part of a team.
  • Advanced degree in public health or related field.
  • Advanced skills in writing and communication.

Position: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Advisor

Description:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor based in Nairobi, Kenya will serve as a team member responsible for strengthening the performance monitoring system and capabilities within a medical supply agency.

The Officer will support the project team to successfully execute all activities related to M&E and performance monitoring across project work streams and within the medical supply agency.

In addition, this position will support the effective implementation of capacity building activities as they relate to M&E. This project is fast-paced, dynamic and demanding. Candidates should be able to perform under pressure and be proactive.

Key duties include:
  • Identify a core set of indicators across the medical supply chain agency and a strategy and mechanism for routine data collection, data use and dissemination of data both internally and externally.
  • Harmonize multiple reporting requirements both internally and externally.
  • Identify and assess baselines for the medical supply agency and project capacity indicators and ensure data collection of these indicators on a regular basis.
  • Perform complex data analysis to optimize performance monitoring and measure increased capacity.
  • As directed, track and report to stakeholders on programmatic progress against benchmarks and objectives, and recommend revisions to development plans as needed.
  • Support team advisors during engagement with medical supply agency counterparts and stakeholders to effectively measure, monitor, evaluate and improve existing performance management measures.
  • Develop training materials and capacity building events for medical supply agency counterparts and stakeholders on effective performance monitoring, management, and evaluation.
Required qualifications include:
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience and proven track record in monitoring and evaluation of activities and performance monitoring plans for donor-funded projects in Kenya, preferably projects focused on health and/or supply chain.
  • Knowledge and experience in indicator selection, M&E design and implementation, data collection, data analysis, training, and capacity building.
  • Knowledge and understanding of qualitative and quantitative research/evaluation methodologies and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience working with and reporting results to USAID and familiarity with USAID reporting requirements is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with senior levels of government, policy makers, private executives and senior managers to achieve established goals and lasting results.
  • Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, SPSS, and Access.
  • Proven ability to mentor, motivate and work as part of a team.
  • B.S. or B.A. in related field, Master’s degree is a plus.
