Our client is a toy shop. They are currently looking for an individual to fill the role of Sales Executive. The sales person will be responsible to marketing to schools, churches, and any education facilities..

Primary Responsibilities

The primary job responsibilities of a sales executive first and foremost include:
  • Maintaining a healthy relationship with the company's clients
  • He/she should always be available to the client and identify new business opportunities, customers, markets and potential products
  • Gather market intelligence
  • Gathering customer satisfaction surveys will not only contribute to the executive's success, but the company as a whole
  • Ensure that company has an in depth understanding of the users of company services and their ongoing needs
Skills and Requirements
  • Should have experience in selling at least one of the products in our offering, Computer literate
  • 1-3 years experience sales experience in one or more products indicated above
  • Ability to be convincing and negotiate deals
  • Creative approach to sales and marketing
  • Smart with an easy and ready smile (pleasant personality)
  • Good communication, customer service and writing skills.
  • Excellent organization and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a driving license.

Applications are hereby invited from qualified candidates to fill the above Fixed Term position in Dadaab Field Office of UNICEF Kenya Country Office.

Purpose of the Post: Under the general supervision of the Chief, Field Office Dadaab, the incumbent will be responsible for finance & accounts (custodian of the SCA), administration, supply & logistics. Supervises driver(s) and ancillary staff and deliver operational support for programme implementation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain financial records and monitoring systems to record and reconcile expenditure, balances, payments, statements and other data for day-to-day transactions including reports, vouchers and reconciling data for recurring or special reports. 
  • Monitor compliance with all operational systems and procedures. 
  • Ensures accuracy, promptness and appropriateness of information and reports to the Chief, Field Office.
  • Prepare recurring reports as scheduled and special reports as required for budget preparation and audits or other reasons.
  • Collect information and assist in conducting surveys on local cost of living, daily subsistence allowance criteria, local salaries for office and servicing staff and housing rentals.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and participate in budget analysis and projects as required.
  • Participate in the timely planning and acquisition of supplies during the programme review process.
  • Identify and propose appropriate office accommodation, ensure maintenance of office premises, equipment and supplies. 
  • Advise and assist other staff in the area of office management. 
  • Arrange for and attend meetings on day-to-day administrative matters and participate in discussions of new or revised procedures and practices. 
  • Interpret and assess the impact of change and make recommendations for follow-up actions. 
  • Ensure administrative support in its delivery, monitoring, control and inventory.
  • Prepare on own initiative, correspondence, reports, evaluations and justifications as required on general administrative or specialized tasks which may be of a confidential nature within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Assist in the preparation of office budgets applicable to staff and servicing costs and maintain necessary budgetary control records.
  • In addition to general administration responsibilities, may also supervise directly or indirectly, activities concerned with office and grounds maintenance, security, transport and similar services.
  • Requisition office supplies and equipment locally and in Nairobi and arrange for
  • control of distribution and maintenance of appropriate inventory records.
  • Provide interpretation of administrative rules, regulations and procedures.
Required Qualifications: 
  • Completion of secondary education. 
  • Training in administrative field is desirable.
Experience: Six years of progressively responsible clerical and administrative work.

Language: Fluency in English and Swahili as a working language.

Feed The Children Grants Accountant Job Vacancy in Kenya


Feed The Children - Kenya is seeking to recruit the position of Grants Accountant.

This is a one year renewable contract.

Based in Nairobi, the incumbent will report to the Finance Manager.

Major responsibilities:
  • Assist program coordinators in preparation and review of grant budgets and monitoring to ensure compliance with donor requirements.
  • Prepare accurate quarterly and annual financial reports and ensure they are timely as per requirements.
  • Build the capacity of Feed The Children program staff and partners in management of donor funds.
  • Preparing donor contracts/agreements/guidelines and terms of reference.
  • Participate and guide preparation of departmental annual program budgets based on set guidelines.
  • To be the custodian of accurate asset register of various assets, as pertaining to various projects.
  • Follow up and implement audit recommendations and ensuring compliance with existing contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare analysis reports and interpret financial information plus developing strategies for cost cutting measures within the organization.
  • Prepare tax exemption applications on grant requirements and ensure that all government, financial and legal requirements are adhered to.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in performing other finance activities for the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Holder of Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or other relevant field. A Master’s degree in Finance will be an added advantage.
  • CPA (K) holder and member of ICPAK.
  • Minimum five years of experience in grant accounting in an international organization.
  • Excellent knowledge in managing donor Funds.
  • Experience in use of accounting and grant-management systems: Proficiency in QuickBooks essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with high ethical standards.
