ICAP of Columbia
University is working in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health
and Sanitation and the Ministry of Medical Services to strengthen HIV
Care and Treatment services at provincial and district health
facilities.
This program is part of a
US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding
from PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC).
Applications are invited for the following position:
Research Site Coordinator
Location: Nyanza
Overall Job Function:
The Research Site
Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing day to day study
activities at the research site to ensure smooth implementation of the
study, safety of study participants, and accuracy of the data
collected.
S/he will be supervised by the Study Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- To obtain patient consent to participate in the project
- To administer questionnaires to healthcare providers and lay counsellors
- To monitor patient recruitment and retention and oversee follow- up and patient tracking activities
- To ensure proper storage of study materials
- To carry out on-site quality control for data collection
- To supervise Research Assistants
Requirements
- Nursing Degree or relevant Degree/Diploma in Social Sciences
- Experience in conducting research
- Excellent communication skills ( both oral and written)
- Good use of Microsoft office especially in excel
