Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate should have/fulfil the following basic skills/requirements:
  • Attending to site meetings
  • Supervise construction works activities in accordance with the technical specifications
  • Approves construction projects by conducting inspections at critical phases; obtaining approvals from buyers.

  • Ensure project proceeds in a timely manner.
  • Manage tool and materials inventory for each project. Ensure unused materials are accounted for and reported to the Director of Construction.
  • Complete necessary reports and meet at least weekly with Construction Director to discuss construction progress
Qualifications and Experience
  • Fluent and clear English speaking (knowledge of German is a plus, but not mandatory).
  • Reasonable good knowledge of Microsoft Office basic tools (Word, Excel, Power Point) for drafting letters, emails and other documents.
  • Good command and confidence with internet and Google search tools.
  • Good organization skills and time management.
  • Booking rooms and travel arrangements for local and expats.
  • Accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Has to be prepared to live in the Suswa surrounding areas.
  • Previous experience with expats and site environment would be a very positive advantage.
  • In case of a lady, be discrete in the work place, demand respect from (most of male) colleagues in a site environment.
  • To be reliable and keep management issues under confidentiality.
  • Degree/Business administration or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience.
  • Should have self-motivated personality., and necessary ability to stay calm and tactful under pressure.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • experience with international travel bookings etc also an advantage
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good organization and prioritization skills

  • Monitor, record, and report the progress of all civil and pipeline works

  • Conduct visual inspection of all civil and Pipeline works.  This entails undertaking a rigorous and detailed Inspection of the quality of materials and standards of workmanship installations are constructed in accordance with the drawings, specifications and approved quality.
  • Identify technical problems on site and recommend corrective action in consultation with the Site Agent
  • Keep detailed records of various aspects of works including a daily diary and report regularly to the Site Agent.

Responsibilities:

Job Description

We are seeking individuals to manage the various complex Construction and Maintenance functions of the organization – including large scale residential construction projects. 
You will be in charge of maintaining our current sites to the highest level using your carefully crafted team of professionals (electricians, plumbers) and making upgrades as necessary.

Primary Duties of Construction Manager
  • Manage new and ongoing construction projects.
  • Labor Management (Strict and Firm) - Directly supervise all contractors and       tradesmen on all project job sites under his/her direction

Our client runs a Luxurious serviced modern apartments offering contemporary home-away-from-home living, and are looking for an Construction Supervisor / Foreman to join part of the expanding and dynamic team.

Job Role

The construction supervisor/ foreman will be responsible for the entirety of a construction project, from start to finish, including budget, personnel, quality and customer service aspects.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree  in Building and Construction/ or Relevant course
  • Minimum Three Years experience a must with past project related record and references/referee
  • Developing programme of work and strategy for making the project work
  • Trouble shooting skills-
  • Oversee running of the project
  • Schedule project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
  • Records keeping on stocks, re-order levels for replenishment of materials.
  • Procurement skills in sourcing for materials i.e interior/exterior refurbishments and follow up to ensure desired levels of quality finish
  • Inspect and review project to monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other  regulations
  • Using constructions management software packages to plan smooth work flows (Gantt Chart) or any other relevant package
  • Sourcing for competitive quotations
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance
  • Plan, direct , coordinate and Budget
  • Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization scheduling and implementation
  • Making safety inspections of site when work is underway and ensuring regulations relating to health and safety and environment are adhered to
  • High integrity, team player, leadership, meeting of deadlines, and interpersonal skills a must
