Individuals Requirements:
- § University or Media school graduate with degree.
- § Minimum 3yrs experience in journalism.
- § Aged between 27 – 35
- § Have a passion for writing, especially travel and hospitality related articles.
- § Good knowledge of photography and proficient with handling and taking excellent photos with digital camera.
- § Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, adheres to deadlines, understands team concept and works well with other members of the team
- § Must be proficient with e-mail, internet, MS Word, MS Excel and Powerpoint.
- § Contact potential advertisers via e-mail, telephone or personally visiting them.
- § Excellent with carrying out interviews.
- § Expected to help ideate, work on story structure, and elevate the standards of stories that run in the publication – whether it’s suggestions for text, layouts, and overall packaging
- § The candidate will also be expected to manage and edit dedicated sections within the magazine.
- § The candidate must have a strong understanding of and command over the contemporary international English magazine style, with impeccable grammar and spelling; an exceptional attention to detail; first-rate line-editing and rewriting skills; excellent proofreading skills
- § Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- § Highly developed organizational skills.
- § Ability to work well under pressure and meet publishing deadlines.
- § Able to work long hours to meet deadlines.
- § Own laptop with 24hr Internet Access
- § Mobile phone (own airtime).
- § Able to travel at any time without any obligations.
