The aim of this
consultancy is take over the process and complete the ongoing
development of a Community Health Workers training curriculum and manual
for use by the Health Sector.
Specific Objective
Specific Objective
The consultant will be required to specifically take up the following tasks:
- Facilitate a one day Technical Working Group validation meeting for the prepared draft curriculum.
- Edit the validated draft curriculum.
- Convene a one day stakeholder’s dissemination forum for the curriculum.
- Convene and coordinate a 5 days retreat for technical officers to develop a trainer’s manual.
- Facilitate a one day Technical Working Group validation meeting for the prepared draft Manual.
- Edit the validated draft Manual.
- Conduct pre-testing of the Manual and in cooperate the pretesting feedback.
- Convene a one day stakeholder’s dissemination forum for the manual.
Desired Background and Experience
- Masters degree in curriculum development, public health, community health or any other related field.
- Experience in the development of similar documents.
- Solid technical background, analytical, planning and facilitation skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work and facilitate a large team.
Deliverables
The consultant should submit a soft copy and hard copy of:
- Completed curriculum.
- Completed manual.
- Curriculum and Manual pretesting reports
- Curriculum and Manual stakeholders dissemination reports
