Position: Mobile Plant Technician
Reporting to: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: Garissa
Company Profile: This is a mining and trucking company based in Coast Province ( Tana River).
Nearest Major Towns are Mwingi & Garissa.
They mine Gypsum ore which is an essential mineral in the manufacture of cement
.
Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance of Plants (Excavators, Screens, and wheel loaders).
This would involve:
- Daily Over-all Plant Inspection ( Attention to Air Cleaner)
- Regular Lubrication
- Minor Service (Oil Change, Fuel, Oil, Hydraulic & Air filter change.
- Minor Repairs, - Fuel, Oil & Hydraulic systems.
- Minor replacement of worn parts.
- Maintaining service records of mobile plant.
- Liaise with major service contractors ( Mantrac & CMC)
- Maintain stock and records of essential oils & parts in the field.
- Forward plan general maintenance.
- Perform other services as may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 6 months of experience in Maintenance, preferably from Mining, Cement Manufacturing and Petro-Chemical Industries.
- Supervisory experience is an advantage
- Knowledge in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant
- Must be willing to work in Garissa, Kenya
- Computer literate(Must)
- Driving ( Advantage)
- Must have worked for at least six (6) months in a Maintenance department or equivalent.
